Future Classes
We start with 4 classes. Though very visually great and on theme, we need more and I'm sure that FatShark doesn't want their live service game to drop off in relevancy so fast so they'll add more.

What would they add? I don't know.

I will encourage coming up with ideas here.

I'll start:

- Krieg Guardsman
- Repentia sister
- Skitarii
- Squat

-No chapter would allow a neophyte to go since they carry precious geneseed
-A comissar would add no new weapons except combos which i doubt will not be coming for the existing classes anyway
-There are no criminal regect Tech Priests. A semi complete skitarii could potentially work.
-Imperial assassins are too OP and wouldnt be allowed to be taken by the Inquisition. Officio Assassinorum is a different organisation entirely.
-a rogue trader is uber rich and powerful character, they would never be some random imperial convict.
-Imperial Daemonhost, literally impossible, the few cases that exist like in Eisenhorn are always bound and kept in storage until the last moment.

im mearly going of what could be worked to fit in the game without making it stupid, like nerfing a space marine to actually be able to die to a zombie for the sake of being in the game.

lore wise some stuff ingame doesnt make sense either so they could add any reason they want to put them into the game. even skip the tutorial and give them different clothes.

- neophyte was abandoned/left to prove himself.
- commisar with pistol/sword combo like in VT.
- could be a corrupt code tech priest or simply one on a research mission.

- the assasin would need to be either a trainee or something wrong with them to work.
- not all rogue traders are rich and many people refer to everyone on the ship as a 'rogue trader' not simply a crew.
- daemonhost could work with a minor daemon not every daemon host is holding a bloodthirster.

Death Cult Assassin, But that'd likely end up being a Priest/Zealot subclass at some point.. Probably.

omg id love a powerfist, just smashing the armoured ones in the face

Rogue trader isn't extreme it is impossible, To be a rogue trader means you have a Warrant of Trade issued by the Emperor signed in his blood. Effectively you are above the law.

Sadly FatShark have already said no to Squats. "It would just be Bardin in space"

Zealot priest is practically a repentia as it is, similar skillset gameplay and weapons.

Krieg Guardsman, as much as I would love to have em... would just be a suicidal vet with a shovel fetish. We already have access to the weaponry, just need the uniform really.

Skitarii I would like to see.

I'd say Commando could work as a vet offshoot, though it would basically be the same thing as a vet, only with access to flamers and perhaps a "lay traps" class skill.

I'd like to see some Hive Gangers. Since we're criminals fighting in a hive city it makes alot of sense. Sure they would be similar to what we currently have but that's because the devs covered the basics pretty well with the 4 classes we currently have.

Something that could potentially be its own class, another brawler-tank, would be an Adeptus Arbites. They may have been imprisoned for any number of reasons and, while a small handful of weapons would overlap, a fair number would be unique too. They could also work in a blank as a sort of AoE warp suppressor, reducing the effectiveness of nearby enemies and (potentially) an ability to halt or reverse corruption as a sort of pseudo-healer. As far as subclasses, I definitely want to see a Commando version of the Veteran
A Combat Medic or a Field Chirurgeon.

Who can give themselves or other team members temporary Health with the power of drugsCombat Stimms.

The all "penal legion" theme is wrong and breaks immersion.

An inquisitorial retinue would have fit better imho.
We could even get many many classes and sub-classes in such a game design choice.
We could even get many Chaos enemies or Xenos.
Everything could have more (pardon me) coherency.

I'm starting to think this lack of 'coherency' is from people not really paying much attention.

No way we are even close to a Sanctioned Psyker, a Tempestus Scion, a very smart Ogryn being used by Tempestus and a Sororitas/Crusader.
Thats an Inquisitorial Retinue all about. With Grey Knights, Mechanicus, Rogue Traders, Xeno allies, even people like Rannick that actually is an Acolyte going into a path to become an Inquisitor himself.

Our character are scum lowlifes, expandable wave of prisoners sent in a meat grinder.

Storytelling is utterly abhorrent in Darktide at this state, they ensured that wont be fixable by chance. We wont see anything special because neither GW doesnt want to license that (improbable considering Rogue Trader from Owlcat) nor Tencent will allow funds to be allocated for a real FatShark game.

Do you remember that in Vermintide saga we actually get a plot? A progression? Trophies? Hints in CHARISMATIC characters dialogues?

Understand that the design is lacking.
