Alternatively I would recommend turning down your settings maybe or capping framerate at 60.
Usually multiple sensors may indicate hotspot temperatures, which is likely due to the 10c difference (but that's only a guess on my part and I could be wrong since I use AMD equipment).
This.
In iCUE, sensor 1 is usually the only temp you should need to worry about. The others are for VRAM.
I am, should I cap it to 60?
running uncapped lets a gpu spit out more frames than most monitors can display causes gpus to run hot faster
i set mine to 120 and v-sync on
cpu 60c gpu 79c
Try it and see if it makes a difference.
Thank you, vram is around 95C, atm I have core at 83c
limit the framerate. 95 degrees is perfectly fine for a 2070 super per the specs. it won't affect anything running that hot, but if it bothers you limit it via the nvidia control panel.
The thermal paste on the video card was either garbage or not applied correctly at manufacturing. Buy new thermal paste, look up a video on how to open your video card and clean up whatever is on there with alcohol (90% or higher if you can). Then re-apply thermal and put it back together.
My thermals went from 81c+ to a constant 60c no matter what is happening. This game has nothing to do with the 2070 super acting like it's insane.
If you ignore this problem your 2070 won't last much longer at those temperatures.
Here's the Gallery of me opening the 2070 super, this is a 15 minute job:

here's the thermal paste I bought: $5.35 usd

Mate, only 100 C and over is going to damage the card... I suggest you read up on the specs.
OP already figured out the problem. ICUE tells 3 degrees because of the sensors. The main one (The one you're referring to.) was no where close to 95c, so OP is fine. Also, your card ain't staying 60c unless you got liquid nitrogen cooling it on this game. If it does, I'd love to see that.
