What are the real stats?
I really appreciate that they added so much more data to the weapons. I think they should have left the little lore blurb there too, but oh well.

But some of it just makes no sense.

For example one lasgun had a damage rating of 28%. it did 243 dmg primary and secondary.

Another of the same weapon had a damage rating of 38% but this one only did 108 dmg for primary and secondary. How can the stronger one have higher damage?

Things like this make no sense to me. I see that it has modifiers as well near the percentages. Does this mean that each weapon has a 28% or 38% boost to base damage? How do you read this?

The percents are based on that specific weapon's potentional.

For example a bolt gun with 60% might do 460 damage and one with 80% might do 480 damage. If we assume for the example that the bolt guns potential damage range is 400-500.

The percent is for that weapons stat range only.

Those were not the same lasguns you were looking at... Look at the names.

Think that may be the case, I've read other discussions that game pass is not up to date with steams patch version, as microsoft requires them to be more ironed out before adding them.

The current weapon view page shows a lot more information at the price of losing the little paragraph about the weapons lore. Sad we couldn't just have both.

It even lets you see all the damage amounts for each attack type compared to each armor type. It's pretty neat.

the variants of guns (that have them) have different base stats that are affected by the bars / percentages. usually they're firerate, damage, and magazine capacity, but in some cases it's stuff like semi auto, full auto, or burst fire

its just random numbers, none of it has any meaning or context

Dunno why’d they’d do all that and not bother giving us the base values of what each of those percentages are.

Yes, my friend plays on Gamepass and their version of the game is basically still the Beta version. Steam version is most up-to-date.

I did. They were the same gun, other than the 'Mark' version.

Yeah, the MK's/Marks change the weapons stat pools. For example the MG 1a Lasgun fires slow but does more damage overall than a MG IV. The MG XII Does the most damage of the infantry lasguns but has the slowest fire rate.

They all behave differently and have different stat pools. A MG IV will never, even with 100% damage, do more damage per shot than a MG XII.

you are most likely comparing a lasgun XII (the 243dmg) with a lasgun IV (108dmg)
XII is the slow firing high damage. IV is faster firing low damage (also uses 2 ammo compared to the normal 3)

those marks can change how your weapon performs

Most of the Lasguns and Auto guns have 3 versions of each type

Then it's not the same gun...
