Solo ? or just Co-Op ?

Just curious is this is at all solo playable. Live in a small village in Alaska and online Co-Op is not that great with a 500-600 ping.

co-op for now but they are adding the game mode for solo with bots but i dont think itll be available at launch.

You should be able to create solo games with bots once private lobbies are online. But you'll also probably need to always be online.

For online solo, you can create a private match and not invite anyone.

I think solo lobbies are coming at/around launch and private lobbies will come later, but I don't know if I remember correctly.

This is what I came here to find out. It sounds like my VT2 pals are on the fence about playing this game right out of the gate, so private solo games are about the only way I'm jumping in. It would be nice to get in there and experience the Shiny New Thing, but I'd rather chew glass than be forced to have the door open for Little Timmy to jump into my games fresh out of a hard day at middle school.

So it's confirmed that private lobbies will not be available at launch?

When the co-op online doesn't find people to join. The match starts with bots that are filled once people are found.

I think it is all online play though, not offline.

They described a mode where you could locally host the game. That mode is not yet implemented, so I would not buy this game in your situation. If you find that they successfully implement that mode, then you're golden. If not, you will suffer from a severely poor experience based on your ping. You will never hit anything. You will never really know where the rubberbanding enemies are.
Wait for them to successfully implement the local hosting.

Currently you have to play online with randoms. Private lobbies and bots are "coming soon".

I wait until those features are actually in the game, because it could be a month or it could take longer, given Fatshark's track record.
