Please allow DLSS swapping and full Reshade support
For graphics enthusiasts and people who generally want the most up-to-date experience, not being able to swap DLSS .dll files or use Reshade with full depth is a bummer.

DLSS is constantly getting updates and in literally every other game I've played with DLSS 2, you're able to swap in a newer version DLSS file, which will have improvements to image quality and stability, and use it just fine. In this game however, which for some reason ships with DLSS 2.4.0 (a fairly old version of DLSS 2), if you try to swap in a newer version of DLSS the game will just render black or colors will get all messed up.

As for Reshade, it looks like EAC is configured to only allow the limited version of reshade without depth data support, meaning that we are not able to add in new depth based effects like better ambient occlusion, depth of field, motion blur, lighting, etc. I can understand disabling this in a PvP game, since people could use depth cues to see enemy players hidden behind stuff like smoke or grass, but in a PvE game it doesn't make any sense. You're literally just killing hordes of AI, and other games with EAC that aren't PvP allow full Reshade with depth support. To be clear, I am specifically talking about the reshade version on the reshade download page labeled "with full add-on support" https://reshade.me/. That is the one that has depth data.

Would be awesome to have both of these usable.

They've been in the steam forums a good few time's answering questions but your much more likely to get a interaction in the official forums

buy hdr monitor

Man, if only there were good HDR monitors for PC that aren't nearly $1k...

And don't give me that "but it says HDR on the box!" that's what...HDR300 or HDR400 certification? No local dimming zones, edge lighting.

Even if you want cheap HDR (and I mean real HDR) you're looking at no less than $800. $1k for proper full HDR with local array dimming

I'm not in support of reshade because in my opinion it often looks terrible, but don't say it's as simple as getting an HDR monitor. It's like when D&D said "get an oled TV and calibrate it if you can't see the Long Night battle"

People couldn't behave, and used reshade to cheat in tarkov, and this is the result.

Just get a good HDR.

The devs said they don't look here for feedback. You may have seen one of the community managers though, they very very rarely look here.

+1 for DLSS updates...probably would help alot of people for performance and stability.

if there's one thing I hate it's making accounts for specific game site forums.

You need to learn how to communicate better my guy, everything in your last few comments was about HDR . And like I said, the only thing you can do in reshade is boost ambient occlusion shaders to show black highlights on enemies through smoke, or you can use the dept view itself but thats not practical because all the colors blend together. And even then, who cares for a PvE game.

No you'd have to be pretty fkn thick to think that. Or just being intentionally obfuscating because you know, you're a cheater.

I mean why else go off an such an obvious tangent of misunderstanding of Lynchian proportions unless you weren't being intellectually dishonest?

Why be dishonest and obfuscating? Because you want to cheat. God only knows why you'd be sop pathetic as to even need to, but there's no need to overthink it, I've found.

Most people have seen The Good Wife. You can try and technically "not lie" as much as you want - but anyone with half a brain will just call you out straight away - or draw that negative inference. The (bad) obfuscation itself is the giveaway.

WTF you need to get your head checked, somethings living in there rent free. Just cause you can't afford HDR monitors or a PC that can run advanced reshade effects well doesn't mean you have to take it out on us.
And idk what The Good Wife is, and none of my friends do either. What a weird statement to make, touch some grass my man.
