How to Escape Enemy CC Abilities?
From net shooters bagging me out of nowhere, to dogs humping me, to literally being eaten alive...am I missing something, or is there no way to escape these hard cc abilities from enemies?

Hold direction other than forward, press space to dodge net. Then, smash it's face in.

Shoot dog to stun it, then smash it's face in.

Nurgle thing is going to eat you if you are close enough to it.
enemy disables were much easier and reliable to dodge in vt2 so i guess that had to change for the sequel. people will just patronizingly tell you to dodge but trappers specifically try to wait until youre distracted and shoot super fast and hounds literally pounce without warning. the dodge window is very small as well. so instead i will tell you to greatly prioritize these enemies. they cant disable you if theyre dead. nurgle beast is tricky for this but he actually moves very slow so you just have to keep away from melee range on his front.

Once you're disabled, you can't escape it. You need another player to free you. That's about the only coop mechanic in the game. Same as Left 4 Dead 1

You can shoot the net when it's flying at you btw.

IMPORTANT:

When you are netted you can still tag enemies, help your team and at least tag the trapper.

Thank you. This is what I was wondering about. I of course know dodging is an option, but I mainly play Ogryn up front and I'm so distracted that often, netters nets seem to just come out of nowhere. I was wondering if there was anything I could do after missing the small dodge window. Thanks for the answer.

I hope they change it at some point. Feels like a bad design to just get cc'd until you slowly die.

Dogs are tricky buggers but mutants and trappers can easily be avoided with a simple WASD + Spacebar dodge.

If you're already pinned down though only your teammates can help you.

Expect the million of cultists that just spawned right behind you.

whats teamplay?
use your ears , play with sound settings all netgunners have the same voice and when they spawn they shout some line pretty loud and you can just look into that direction and camp , also their footsteps are louder then normal mobs

This is an intentional desigh. That if you get grabbed by a trapper or a dog, you are screwed and need the help of your team mates to get out.
Why? You ask....

Because this is a team game and this is to motivate you to stick to your team and not run around alone.

But you can always dodge them. Before the trapper shoots his net, or the dog is charging and jumping on you, just dodge sideways

You can block-bash dogs mid air to interrupt them. dodge or black line of sight for the nets

i never thought to try this. good tip

The Psykers lightning staff can stun just about every non-boss/monstrous enemy in the game mid animation. I couldnt tell you how many points of damage ive prevented. Dog is inches from your face? zap. Mutant about to ragdoll you? zap. Got a problem, zap a problem.

(Ignoring the snarkyness of your response) I get the teamplay aspect of it, and overall I think it's a good thing. Helps prevent us from getting to Warframe-like levels where you can load into a mission only to find your teammates are already speedrunning through so there's nothing for you to kill.

Why not a compromise though? Maybe the CC can hold you down until you lose 1-2 wounds? Just seems silly to lie there flailing, unable to do anything until your health slowly goes from full to zero.
