If you hit a medicae station, your health will "Decay" to the point of the grimoire (1 grim - 1/3 of your health, 2 grim 2/3 of your health)
Grimoires seem to take flat health instead of percentage based like in V2, which is why Ogryns always seem to take minimal corruption damage thanks to grimoires.
Furthermore, the carriers suffer under a continuous drain effect. This can be seen when using a medicae station, as health will rapidly deplete to what the grim normally takes from you entire team and slowly tick more and more on the guys carrying the damned things with a veiny effect more or less subtly flashing on the screen.
