Grimoire's Vanish when player dies.
Grimoire's will vanish from game level when player dies (i don't mean going down and being able to pick them up).

When player respawns and waits for to be rescued the Grimoire has vanished from player who died. We couldn't find Grimoire where the player had died either in case if has dropped.

This bug has happened now at least 5 times in a row.

Thats not bug, its game mechanic.
Same was in vermintide

It is not a bug, but a feature. If the player carrying a secondary objective dies, the objective is lost. It was the same in the Vermintides too.

You mean the point is that you lose Grimoire if player holding it dies?

Thats just very flawed system in my opinion.

yes thats how they work if the person carrying dies it's considered a failure you don't get a second chance to take it out you just have to start the level over again if you want to get them out protect the holders

I wouldnt call it a flawed system, its an optional challenge that can you can get. Part of that challenge is that if the player carrying it dies, its lost forever. So only players confident in survivng should carry them. It worked like that in Vermintide too, except Vermintide had more of an incentive to go out of your way to get them.

risk vs reward

I find it a bit funny that you OP have played V2 were it's the same thing and yet are still surprised over it in Darktide...

So be honest OP are you fishing for jester awards???
BadSmells Nov 20, 2022 @ 7:42am
Yeah Tide games don't let you lock up free rewards in your purse for safe keeping. Required to earn that extra reward.

its called difficulty. grims are an optional obj that give a bigger reward.
Khalani Nov 20, 2022 @ 8:03am
To be fair the reward for it is really low for the amount of risk you take. It's not like in Vermintide that you have a fixed amount of curse, it's getting worse the longer the game takes.

Usually I only go for 1 grim because of that, it's just too punishing the second without any curse resistance.

If the reward would be higher though, I might consider taking the risk again.

Don't worry, the emperor protects.
