Wouldn't a las rifle be able to match the auto guns DPS by landing precision shots? I do like the muzzle report of auto guns and they do feel reasonably punchy on lower levels, but not having the reserve ammo to keep that DPS going seems to be a major mark against them compared to the las rifles better accuracy and reserve ammo stock. Maybe that changes when we get hot shot las rifles, which makes the auto guns even less attractive; unless there's more to them that I'm missing at higher tiers of quality.
The only advantage from autogun is the torrent version. The rest is just as garbage as the versatile lasgun
It has really good accuracy - Trick is to learn how to use single shots and hitting weakspots.
Try it in Psykarium.
Full-auto is usefull only in some situations (close quaters or bosses) .
Although I still prefer the Boltgun, I just wish it didn't sway so hard and the recoil was insane to try and keep follow up shots going.
also Las needs truckloads of shots to bring down carapaced/armored enemys compared to projectils
