And btw it is GREAT. Just need to hit the heads. It provides stagger and reliable damage at 30-40m range which is insane. It feels more like a rifle than a shotgun, if i want to be honest. I played a master-crafted version in the CB in damnation and i was satisfied with it. Not there yet in the pre-launch, but im pretty sure ill pick a master-crafted shotgun again as a basline before experimenting with other stuff.
And no, you shouldnt use it for wave clear.
It also has a special where you load a super shell, increasing the damage and stagger to ridiculous degrees. Pretty much anything you shoot shy of an Ogryn will stumble or fall to the ground when hit by it, if it doesn't explode their whole torso.
The only real downsides it has are bad performance against armor and a long reload time (though with the benefit of being able to interrupt it at any time).
Thanks, Lad.
Bolters shred every enemy in this game, but it's slow to reload, slow to ready, and chews through ammo fast. It even has a tiny AoE radius so you can effectively use it for wave clear.
