Why are the women so butt ugly?

I mean to be fair, yeah it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ place, and there's trillions of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ places to live, but there's a ton of normal people in 40k, and even more pretty ones. Not defending the whole "we need pretty ladies or else" crowd, just saying for the sake of it. Not everyone looks like they went through a wood chipper in 40k. Bit too lazy to grab a bunch of screens of official art of guardsmen/women and citizens who are all normal or even hot, (sisters of battle excluded cause y'know most of them are drawn like white haired goddesses and it's a bit unfair to include them in general populace gene stock, lol) people did it ad naseum in the last threads, lol.

Learn the lore about Rejects. Most come from incredibly impoverished places, where survival is a struggle on a daily basis. Dont have time for beauty when you're life is literally on the line every second of every day.

Pulling pints in a bar or club isn't exactly doing your part for the Emperor and they aren't being turned into servitors.

The emperor and the primarchs were essentially gods. They were considered the pinnacle of humanity, of course they were beautiful. Not a good comparison to the Rejects were playing as.

The character customization is lacking that's why.

The main defense is "They're from an underhive eating rats" collapses when you get to pick the world and background. The follow up argument is they're "criminals", you could have been a backline pdf on a shrine world that said the Emperor wasn't 9 ft tall and they would've shipped you off to prison jail and didn't need to be a frontline chemdog to be a "reject". A number of combinations can be made that doesn't reflect what those game presets offer especially when you have multiple worlds with billions each

still doesn't excuse the fact EVERY face option and hair are males... not females. that's agenda and or incompetent character design.

That's actually one of the reasons you can pick for being in the prison in the prologue.

point proven right there lol... they added a pleasure world... yet cannot make someone that'd realistically be there... some "pleasure" world... maybe it was for ogyrn only? idk

I wasn't talking about the pleasure world, it was this part "maybe they slighted a rich oligarch or lord somehow and was sent here". Dunno if it differs based on home planet but that was the option i picked for my Cadian character.

My dude EVERYONE is ugly here. Theres no agenda. Its neither incompetent character design. Not everyone needs to be pretty all the time. This doesnt take place on a pleasure world. Also, Warhammer has always been ugly. Like always. Even V1 and 2 characters were ugly mofos, the whole lot. Its inline with the setting. Its an ugly setting, with the characters to reflect it.

My main gripe with customization is the lackluster "long hair" options, since the only hairstyles in the game are "Astra Militarum" and "Underhive ganger", with no option to make your convict look like a regular guy or girl.
