Darktide - A Step Back In Many Ways
A large portion of the community is highly disappointed with Darktide. In many ways Darktide is a regression from Vermintide 2(VT2) and it just shouldn't be. Fat Shark simply did not learn lessons from Vermintide 2 and has simply repeated the same mistakes from VT2 and brought them over to Darktide(DT).

Issues:
The UI, as it is right now, is an absolute failure.
Don't like that vsync isn't properly implemented in this game and causes massive frame rate issues for the user when vsync is enabled. Mainly that the game will constantly swap between a full refresh and half leading to an extremely choppy playing experience. Vsync should have simply had a few options. Full fresh vsync, half-refresh vsync, and no vsync. With double and triple buffer options available. Currently I use my vendor, driver level, vsync to get a decent tear free experience with the game.
In game frame limiters are terrible providing a horrendous frame time/pacing where using driver level frame pacing such as AMD's Chill/FRTC, Nvidia's Max FPS option, and Riva Statistics Tuner's fame limiter all offer vastly superior results over the game's internal limiter.
Fat Shark did not address the always online aspects that were hated from previous games and have in fact doubled down on them. SMH.
No multiplayer. It's like you guys forgot Left 4 Dead's MP mode and how much fun that was for many who played it.
No ability to create a dedicated server we control, L4D allowed us to, which lead to mods, and a bunch of other stuff.
Don't know why we are using Anti-Cheat. Really dumb.
Ridiculously monetization schemes.
Don't like the excessive load times. I am on a PCie 4.0 NVME SSD. I have a Ryzen 9 CPU and an RX 6700, I play at 1080p resolution.
I feel like I am playing on PS1 again with these load times and not in a good way. My buddy on an HDD has it even worse.
Don't like Fat Shark is not supporting a proper Linux client.
Fat Shark should have dropped all proprietary API's and just used Open API's such as Vulkan.
Fat Shark shouldn't hide resolution options from users in the settings menu.
No stats screen at the end of a match.
Item and Loot systems are a flat out regression from VT2.
The loot and currency systems, as currently implemented, are terrible. Less rewarding.
The crafting systems, as currently implemented, are terrible; As you are less likely to get what you are looking. VT2 was better in this regard.
Can't for the life of me understand why Fat Shark thought it was a good idea to level gate many of the weapons instead of just letting you play with all of them from the start and finding something you enjoy, like we were able to in VT2. Only a few of the weapons were hidden behind achieving something in the game's campaign.
VT2's story and campaign were vastly better than DT's random missions with no real story connecting them together.
Level Designs, in some cases, are confusing, and unnecessarily complex.
Event objectives aren't as clear as they should be, especially for new players. Especially the scan missions.
Horrible class abilities and talent layouts.
Don't like the lack of steam deck support.
Missions are very repetitive. Which would have been ok if the levels were randomly generated each time but, they aren't. So, it gets stale very quickly. Fat Shark should have taken a page from Deep Rock Galactic and used random level generation with tile sets or something to create an always changing and unique level each time.
I miss the special black out missions where we had to use flash lights, those were fun for myself and my group although I know why many didn't like them, because they didn't have weapons with flash lights and even if they did, there is no gear select for people joining while the match is already in progress.
Fat Shark needs to allow users to join games, and before taking control of the bot, allow the user to select different wargear they may have that is better suited for the mission they are on. This creates a need from players to collect several different weapons for different use cases.
I do not like how the game tosses you into a game, mid match, while they are in the middle of a horde. It would be best to check point the missions and only allow players join in and take control once past certain check points so players join in at a calm time allowing them to get their bearings rather than dumping them into the fire with a bot who's in the middle of being swarmed and the player loads in almost dead.

The game should have been delayed and further beta testing should have been done but, what's done is done. I hope someone from Fat Shark is reading this and will say something at the next meeting with management.

EDIT+: I have updated this original post to reflect changes in perspective since patches have addressed many of the original posts concerns. Thank you Fat Shark. There are still issues though.

Assuming they further optimize the game I like it so far, needs more tightening up of the animations, collision on pushing, and a few other things imo though. Sometimes I don't know if a shove is going to actually hit or not, or if it did hit. Hopefully they're already looking at that stuff. Performance wise I really don't know anything about hardware specs or stats but I guess I got lucky because it runs mostly 60 for me with drops during intense combat and what I assume are loading areas.

Obviously the networking problems are a really big issue too. And maybe its just me but I'd like the non-gun flashlight everybody has to be just a tad brighter and go just a tad further out because it feels like I'm playing Doom 3 at times.

That is absolutely absurd imo. Maybe asking for a Haswell CPU but, a Skylake? Naw.

1) Minimum requierments are 4 generations old GPU and prehistoric CPU. If you have older then that, you're not going to be able to play.
2) You haven't even seen shop, but you already know how it'll be, are you a psyker? Someone call a black ship, because these delusions either require instant execution or making noodles for emperor.
3) Melee combat has more depth and less cheese then VT2.
4) You are max level and are farming hardest difficulty to say that about loot?
5) You play too much on the rails games if level layouts confuse you so much.
6) Stat screen has less then zero impact on gameplay, you're ranting for the sake of ranting now.
7) This is dedicated server coop game. It always was going to be, perhaps you should read product description before buying it?
8) Ammo is literally everywhere, the only way to run out is to shoot every single trash pox walker to the legs.
9) You have a descriptor what to do in the corner and a marker pointing you to where you need to do it, it can't get any clearer then that - perhaps you're ogryn-level dense? Do you even know what to do with magic box?
10) Being noob and not knowing how to position yourself is not games problem.
11) Don't use ranged weapon in melee or use weapons with very short reload times then, like las or auto pistols.
12) Then go and play vermintide 2.
13) So stop trying to shoot armored targets with las weapons to the chest, they do not have much stopping or anti armor power.
14) You could go on and on, but please don't, because we will drawn in tears if you continue.

Literally all of your problems come from:
-not understanding the game
-not reading shop page
-imagining stuff that isn't there and pretending stuff that is there does not exist

Just to and play VT2.

This is one thing i will agree with, Melee in DT feels a LOT slower vs VT and a lot more clunky

I don't know what a Haswell or Skylake is but I'm on a laptop, and I didn't spend an outrageous amount on it. I do have the settings on low-med though. It has an nvidia graphics card but I don't know what kind specifically other than that.

Yea this was stated in the other beta too.

Way less classes, No Characters, no scoreboard, loot screen replaced by generic shop, Hub actively makes the game worse, no private matches, cant select specific missions, and plenty more.

At least the weapons have some more unique talents for gameplay variety. Instead of just putting Swift Slaying on everything.

It's code names used for the silicon architecture in the CPUs for certain Intel CPU generations.

Haswell = 4000 Series
Skylake = 6000 Series
