Oh you sweet summer child. Thinking that people are generally nice and respectful towards one another on the internet. That's cute. Especially in a game like this, where the Vermintide community is notoriously toxic and non-inclusive just like the Payday 2 community.
Also do you really wanna compare a profanity filter to the way Roblox does things? Roblox literally has a pedophile problem. Roblox ain't censoring ♥♥♥♥.
Well disable cross play and then they can.
Do people have time to type in chat in game? Probably best for friends is run a discord chat and swear away.
I find most in game chat sucks anyway and wastes bandwidth.

When Musk took over the dark side of the internet crowd took it as a starting sign to say whatever they wanted.
Musk announced to introduce a more lose policy on twitter and when he took over, the amount of hate comments, rape fantasies and death threats increased by about 500%.
Mind, thats when Musk made clear they hadnt even made any changes yet to the moderating policy of Twitter.
But the people just waited for Musk to take over, taking it as a sign that its now "Ok" to post whatever they want, so they crawled out of their caves.
See, i get it.
You want to present it as if we are a civilized society, but fact is, these cavemen just wait until you lower the guard and guidelines, to start using these weakpoints.
So yes, they have to tweak it. But they shouldnt get rid of it, because lets face it, a large amount of the community is just PoS waiting to get the "permission" (aka no moderation), to take that as a reason to be absolute hatred filled a-holes venting their frustrations towards other human beings in a game.
No moderation is a bad thing, freedom is never without limits and free speech doesnt mean you can be free of consequences.
In the past any game with filters was better by having them.
But I get enough f-words from strangers simply overhearing them in the street these days, so I am fine with it.
To be honest I think 99% of the people on the internet are perfectly fine with swearing and the occasional ruder comments. Most people from my experience don't actually get offended when someone rage dumps on them and like me most people probably find it hilarious. Most people just pretend to be outraged by an insult or a slur because it gives them an "in" to harass the person even more by reporting them and potentially getting them banned without having to worry about being punished for false flagging.
all this debate happening because you let those people get under your skins. mature people also whom know when to ignore. thats why i said doubtful. age wise some of you might be old but brains work on instict levels. always trying to be oil on top of water.

You're just a massive hypocrite and I find it hilarious. You want to not be censored yet you go out of your way to censor words that don't even get censored by Steam. You're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥' juvenile. You've been rather presumptuous to assume that I'm in favor of the profanity filter. I don't give a ♥♥♥♥ one way or the other to be honest because I wont be talking with most of the people I play with anyways. I also swear like a sailor. You're the only one getting butthurt here bruh.
Honestly at the end of the day you just want the freedom to curse someone out and call them racial obscenities and you're pretending that the filter shouldn't be there because you're an "adult who can handle a few words", when really everything you've said has given the lie to your statements.
But I do agree people should be free to say whatever they want. And other players should be free to report you for being a racist, toxic piece of trash. Also the game developer is allowed to do whatever they want because it's their game, not yours. If they want a dummy thicc chat filter then oh well. Instead of talking via in-game text chat and calling people names like I know you want to be able to freely do, how about when the game goes up you just shut the ♥♥♥♥ up, point your weapon at the bad guys and don't stop swinging or shooting until everything is dead. I'd much rather you just stfu and play then have to sit there and learn how the mute function works just to be able to ignore you and people like you in-game.
