gears of war did that in their last installment and, while personally i got a kick out of it, it's not very engaging.
also you're either suggesting increasing player count in a lobby by one, or removing one of the four players from combat for the entire game and in both cases that's a total rebalance of difficulty which is not gonna happen.
Servoskull - hard to hit, low health can only use a pistol but can solve tech puzzles faster
Combat servitor - Slow with normal health but uses HEAVY weapons IE Heavy bolter/Multimelta
What ever the tank tracks one is. Biggest health pool and damage reduction can have two heavy weapons. Is most likely to get hit and raises the difficulty by one level per "This servitor type"
Kataphron Battle-Servitors Destroyers/Breacher.
Kataphron Battle Servitor are even less likely than a Servitor because they are not sentient anymore
how are they expensive?, if anything there Cheap and expandable. as all you need is a Ministorum temple of sufficient size and a Heretic and/or dissent.
Darktide will be a promising base game, we already know that Fatshark can do it, and the potential to pump out new content for it is vast.
Mainly because their prices relating to things that affect the action economy is extremely high because of how unbalancing it is.
You're basically buying another character
