Later - who knows? Probably will be, at least can be. Probably will depend on sales?

And in some other thread there were mentions of no plans for launch. I'll try to find one or will edit my message otherwise to match better.
- these are not from Fatshark Aqshy or other members, but info from different recent videos, so it will probably be like that unless further notice.
Will there be crossplay between PC Steam users and PC xbox gamepass users? My initial instinct is that the PC gamepass users will be lumped into their own walled garden and may not even has crossplay with other xbox gamepass users. But who knows.
However the possibility exists now that there will be 3 separate (communities) pools of players splitting up the matchmaking/server list. Steam PC, Xbox, Gamepass PC. Some clarification from Devs on this would be very welcome!!
And i assume we mean xbox gamepass pc version.
I would assume that you can play together on PC with anything that launchs it on PC (microsoft game store, steam, etc) and same way on consoles with anything that launches it on consoles, so that should be fine. But here it's better to seek more info to be 100% sure.
- not sure if Hedge also unerstood what kind of crossplay is being asked about, but here's the recent answer.
This is a bit more detailed answer Hedge gave on Reddit:
welp, fingers crossed then.
In vermintide your connection to steam is paramount due to how reliant the lobbies are on steam's code. This is not the same in Darktide.
Dedicated servers are independent from steam's infrastructure entirely, with some tweaking to allow players to invite players or party up before joining a server.
They'd be shooting themselves in the foot if they were to separate PC players based on online store choice, and I extremely doubt the lead game designer would approve such a nonsensical approach.
