This is not about gender, this is about character
You can already tell from reading this discussions page, YouTube trailer comments and forum posts that this will be the pecking order.

Guardsbro > Guardsman Lady > Priest? > Ogryn (That barely looks like an Ogryn)

with 90% of players mains being the first two.

Why for the life of me in the initial reveal trailer would you build this idea that this was going to be a rag tag group of guardsmen making their way through an underhive then pull a bait and switch with another 2 characters rolls that are largely unrelated to whatever the hell is going on here. The Ogryns perspective looks jarring and unappealing and the priest is such a clash with strike squad this should be.

This is not about gender, there is a problem with the Male Ogryn and the Female Priest. Please for the love of god unify the squad composition or give the players the option to play as duplicates of one class.

it was out fairly quick that the team from the 1st teaser was dead and it would be a new team, the banner showed an Ogryn from day one so that cant be a surprise, the Priest is a surprise will be interesting to see what her story is

Welp it's same for me I expected a game about 4 customisable guardsmen, and now there are only two of them, also an ogre and a priest who do not fit the crew and ruin the charm of the game

Female priest is huge, HUGE, H-U-G-E turnoff for me. I can't think of anything worse. Even in warhammer online i've played as male warpriest.

I like the female sergeant guardsman, cause shes still a guardsman. Again not about gender, its about character

I like the female priest but did they have to make her so ugly. most sisters are at least good looking in official art, hell Kerillian is pretty cute even with the black eyes,

ogryn looks really good... dont know what you are up to

No idea why there is so much drama about the two women. I am as much of a toxic, brutish, roughneck churl as the next Russian, but I see no shame in playing for a female character SO full of boiling zeal and fury.

Lets use some logic here(i know it's hard).

1. A great deal of Warhammer 40k usually has some unfortunate and doomed group discover the horrible enemy first. This was the obvious intent of the trailer. Ill explain even further.

2. The trailer had an injured guardsman and a very OBVIOUSLY doomed and going to die group. Why the hell would we play people already about to die? To a horde of literal hundreds?

3. What was the main image they showed with the name of the game? Did it show 4 guardsman? No. It showed 4 very different characters standing together ,Ogryn included.

4. Inquisitor retinues and squads vary immensely in their composition. This isn't some freakin Astra Militarium aka Imperial Guard strike force.

5. If the "priest" is a former Adeptus aka sister or hell maybe even a novice picked up and taken with, she makes plenty of sense.

6. Duplicates ruins the whole point of the "tide" games when it comes to character banter and personality. I am dam glad they don't allow it.

7. The composition allows for a high range of weapons and specialties. Your idea condenses it and lowers the amount of possibilities way the hell down. Why would you want that?

Why did you bother to reply if you weren't going to read the post? It's not about women its about characters. Read it.

Go ahead and spot the difference between the trailer ogryn and the ones in the following pictures.

Took me no less than 30 seconds to find one similar to the one in the game.
Except it doesnt, it looks nothing like the in game model. In game one is barely a mutated brute, that one in the art is still a ogre looking grunt

Then you are pretty blind mate. Close his mouth, put a shoulder piece on him and boom they look dam similar.

There is also the fact the the in game version wouldn't look like any of the cartoony or stylized art. Nvm that Games Workshop has to approve it. So....it obviously passes. The first art you linked btw would never have a pseudo realistic version of the race look like that. Have some common sense.

Now what you COULD argue on the Ogryn is that he just looks like the base version of one...just kinda bland, nothing honestly all too interesting about him other than being an Ogryn.

That i can agree with.
