No, but if you are using it on a trailer, they should. Also, another pet peeve, she is not going to be very effective with a hammer, since women don't have the same body strength as a man. She would be more effective with a gun. But eh... details.

The trailer made it out that we were gonna be playing as a group of guardsmen, the comments for months now have been "let us play as guardsmen", and now theres only 1 guardsman. This is a colossal mistake that serves nothing but to increase queue times and draw favouritism to one character.

This is a phenomenally stupid decision that should be overturned before the game releases because its not what the community has been vocalising about what they want.

I think more people want a 40K FPS that's a proper representation of the universe rather than "co-op zombie shooter #42069". Simply being "All guardsmen all the time" in a game like vermintide would leave little option than to have zombies be the primary antagonists with cultists being elite mooks and CSMs acting as a mini-boss. We can safely rule out Chaos Terminators.

The roster of playable characters that they revealed at least allows for a vermintide style game in 40K to have a more diverse enemy roster while still being within the power levels of the revealed characters.

It's got nothing to do with sexism you small minded fool, I don't care if the guardsman are men, women or anything in between. I don't care what genitals they're packing only that they're packing lasguns and chainswords. Stop trying to attach agenda based issues where there is literally no reason to do it.

I would rather play as a black teen trasngender guardsperson with bright blue hair so long as they're wearing flakk armour and carrying a lasgun.

Ah yes because as we know guardsmen are always deployed one at a time by themselves with a seemingly random assortment of various characters from across and incredibly wide and often unrelated segments of the Imperium. This is because guardsmen are such a rare and valuable commodity that the Emperor himself couldn't stand to see mroe tahn one deployed to any given problem.
