Can't build sky base
I have tried many times now to build a sky base with a single grounded entry. Nothing wrong with the building ( to have the smallest area to defend). However once the Vambies start my base goes down. The vambies can apparently jump in to outer space if they so choose :), I have build very high up, but they seem to be able to jump trough my ceiling (floor) to get inside my base and then starts destroying every thing. Are we only allowed to do ground building? I love doing HUGE builds, but don't like that I have to build protection for that huge build, so I tested a water build, which works fine until winter obviously, but the sky build was suppose to work for all seasons, but I don't even get to finish it in peace, lol.

I take it the base is still wood which vambies & miniboss can deal a lot of damage to quickly. I would suggest if not done so already, is to upgrade the outer walls/foundations asap whilst building up plus you should be able to place wire fences to help protect the bottom layer.

Vambies jumping that high up though, i am not sure if that is a intended feature or a issue that needs fixing. Hopefully someone will be able to confirm this.

Lol, they don't even bother with part that is actually touching the ground (build it in deep water) but jump right up to the area that is not touching ground (that one was about 7 lvls above ground). I am currently doing another test build to see how high I must go for them to not get there... the part touching the ground (the stair case) I will build protection for, but if I have to fence off the whole area around my build I can just as well build flat on the ground. The purpose of this build is to have a small area to defend while the rest of the base is vambie free zone even with no defences. Lol, guess I am also going to see how high one go with your build, hehehe.

This sounds like a bug to me. Vambies are not even supposed to jump over fences. Jumping 7 stories sounds like they are teleporting inside your base which they are not supposed to do.

We will see, have 14 lv high staircase now and then my base build. I have fenced off the base of the stairs and put spikes and barbwire fence. Will see if this works. Poor Mike and those stairs, hahaha. Will test it more with some lower builds with and without defences at base of stairs, if I still have issues I will log a bug then with the details of the height etc.

There is a group of lakes near the bottom left of the map which has a central small island. I am currently using this location and haven't been bothered once with intruders. I have built up only 3 levels. I can stand at one of my viewing platforms and see them wandering aimlessly around the edges of the lakes. I just pick them off with arrows on my terms, not theirs. Even in winter I am yet to see them venture onto the ice. When I ping them with an arrow they jump around and moan a lot at the waters edge and that's about it. I have built a sky bridge from level 3 to the north road, utilising 4 garages so I can teleport the truck up and down at each end. Disclaimer: I have the vambies set to no damage and lowest health so they die with 1 hit, the big guy 2 hits. A fantastic location if you want zero interruptions it seems.

I will look into that area. I must say, the view is absolutely fantastic from my 14lv build. I can see the whole map!

Thank you to the Dev for the patch. I have however picked up a problem that still persist that was mention by another person way back. At the risk of sounding ungrateful for the effort been put in towards to teleportation of the Vambies I will however request something (maybe all ready mentioned somewhere else) that if it would be possible to get fence gates which the Vambies view the same as the fencing, because I think the problem I saw was because they view the current gates as a source of entry that they can cross (I had a vambie came in after doing one hit on the metal gate, he did not destroy it and he did not open it) but I had only fencing around my base at the time and no spikes or barbwire fence yet and since there is no fence gate, the fencing start from one side of the metal gate and end at the other side of the metal gate. The moment you put down spikes and barbwire they rather go for that to try and destroy it and since I never activated the vambies until those were in place and I also never build my entrance the way I did in this build I never had the issue of them "porting" trough the gate instead of just trying to destroy it. I love this game and are looking forward to see the plans the Dev. have for the future.
