V12 Map of Ore locations

On the map below you can see which ores can be mined in each cave location, Ores can only be mined now by building a mineral extractor inside the cave.
A good tip is to take a chest loaded ready with 18 iron ingots 8 nails and 4 bio oil on your first trip to the cave, screws are no longer needed.
then either a second chest on top of the cart for the 8 planks or simply build a saw (4 logs) and make the 8 planks needed there, either works,
I normally do it with the 2 chests and a cart on a run to a village so i can fill it up with goodies before returning home.

It is still spawning randomly

I found same ores at same locations, looks like it isn´t random :)

i went to the cave north of the fishing spot, I unfortunately did not find any copper, only lead and some iron

you have to build an extractor inside the caves to mine the ore teal, i have edited the post at top so this is clearer to understand

welcome and don't be sorry it's what the forums are for, if you are new i would suggest reading over this as many YouTube videos and guides are a bit outdated because of it.

TYVM! You, sir, are amazing. To answer the village question, there is one by the fish spawn point, all the rest are scattered around the outside of the map, at the end of the small offshoot roads, except the bottom left one. GL and have fun!

One note on the higher-detail map: Coal nodes spawn in caves, with 3 Coal per node. That's now the only way to get coal outside of random drops and/or spawning in villages.
