No screws at thelight tower to build ATV

Started a new game - building the ATV atthe light house for start of the game. But there are no screwa on the table where they always have been before. Cant find them so i cant build the ATV

Did a quick test. Screws are on the table in the lighthouse part. All looks good for me.

Same here ... couldn't find the screws for the love of G... searched high and low,
and yes, one of the first places I looked was the table in the lighttower, but nothing there.

Had to look up a YT video where the heck these things where. But not for me on that location.

I looked for them so long that I oc starved to dead, then I started a new game, and, lo and behold, there they where, right where they should have been all this time ;-D

Tutorial bugged

Fixing the ATV isnt possible in the starting area. The game isnt spawning enough screws to fix the ATV. i had to run around the world to get enough. I had to do this unarmed as crafting is locked until you fx the atv

I've read multiple complaints about not enough screws. Although I never ran into such problem (5 or 6 different saves), I hear that just quit and start new will work in most cases.
At the end, you're still at the beginning and don't have to give up hours and hours of base building. Maybe worth a try? - If there are not enough screws in the lighthouse, don't bother running around and try to find them, just quit and start new, kinda thing.

It happened to me too, on first time I played that map. Starting a new game fixed the bug.

A quick heads up on this bug: It appears that with the help of a shared save file, the dev has found the likely cause. It seems that certain items despawn after 10 mins from start including these screws. Hopefully the 10 mins align with the experiences that were reported (more than 10 min of exploring, etc. before attempt to acquiring them).
Not sure when the fix will be implemented but in the meantime, as stated above, the work around is to immediately restart a new game. Since this occurs at the very beginning, it is not a big sacrifice ;).
If your experience differs, be sure to post that as well.

I also had this issue and it was fixed after I deleted the saved games, went to the games SAVE Folder and deleted all the saves. I am still having problems with my WALLS not upgrading to concrete. They make the sound but no change.

I had the same problem. Until I found this information here. Now restarted and went straight to the screws. They are there now. Before I restarted the game I double checked it and there were no screws, im 100% sure. now all works.

no screws... my experience was running around looking for them for 45 mins before finding out i have to start over

V15.01-Update-Notification says "Changes to existing content: ... , screws are no longer required to repair the ATV, ...." .

True with 15.1 beta but screws still needed in live v14 ;)
