Keeps Crashing

For some reason my game just keeps randomly crashing. No error message, no pattern to the crashing. FPS sitting steady at 60, then freezes for a split second and then crashes. Drivers all up to date. Anyone know if there are error or logs from this game I can get to see whats going on.

You are not alone with this one. There have been multiple reports about this same error with MMDevApi.dll with many different applications. It appears to have started with the Windows 11 24H2 update and has not yet been solved. There are some posted workarounds, but I am not sure I would trust them. That file is audio related if that helps in your troubleshooting.

My crashes have all been while opening loot containers. I open the container, a quick flicker and then the game is fully locked. I have to close the game through Task Manager.
I don't think my error is the same "cause" as I can identify what causes mine.

and for even more annoyance, mine is up to 3 times per hour of play.

Hi, i have same issue with game crashing every now and then, only fix is for me to turn off PC & Turn it back on agin. Error im getting is something like run time error 3dr or something like that, next time it happens i try do a screen shot, i di just tried but it failed.

Just throwing my name in the hat - been a year or two since I played, got the itch, installed and now it crashes just enough that I do not want to bother with it.

Unable to tell if it's crashing during an autosave or not. I do alt-tab out a lot, but I used to keep it running for days with no issues.

Hi all, this crash seems to be an issue with a windows update. I am waiting to get more info about potential fixes and will keep you posted when I have more info.

I turned off auto save and it went days, but did crash again - so what you're saying makes sense. I'll just hold off until we hear from you.
