What does your base/cabin look like?

Hello, for those who likes building and exploring lol, what does your starting base look like? I started out with a 3x3 foundation, one story. Then made it two story as resources was available and tools handy. Now toying with idea of a three story and higher. Did ended up adding more rooms, more foundations, remodeling basically, redoing walls, etc. But the starting out was 3x3 which i think is suffice. Still trying new ideas and seeing what works for now. That being said, the Infected are spawning and roaming more frequently as one progresses. Having a hammer is a must now days, for repairs lol.

It is nice to have agood building system in a good looking game, just means so much more to the build when it looks nice in the end!
I should try doing stairs going all the way up the cliff next and see if its possible

Hello. Added a bridge like across the pond yesterday. Was trying things out. Added a tower like (pillar and stairs lol) at the end of each bridge.

Hello. Started a new game, made a 5x5 base foundation. So far its three story high. The walkway took a long time. Lots of space inside lol. Think 3x3 works better with smaller encampment. Easier to find enemies and where they are attacking at night. Larger foundations, starting out seems hard (at least for me, have not access any electrical tech yet, so everything is dark). Wanted to see what a 5x5 looked like and 1-4 story high lol.

Hello. @3Ddeath, i do like your home, base and the bridge is nice too. To me, it looks like a country side cabin in the mountain next to a lake/river. Enjoying a cold one on a hot summer day while fishing lol.

edit: I do hope we get more base building options later and more freedom to place things incorrectly but use it as a means to come up with unique ways to get more unique builds...

Hello. @MV Play, thanks. @3Ddeath, do the infected spawn from or near the mountain? Nice i noticed you got electricity and solar now. @Freake420 nice build. I may have to try that out on a new game later. Building tree house and surrounding. I havent build any water basin yet in both games since starting this game lol. How much water does it hold? Been turning off and on the foliage. It helps (for me) locating the potatoes lol.

Going to log in a few here, its going to be my third day playing (third time playing since i bought this game lol). Seems so far (started twice lol, all the blueprints are random spawn). Tried to go for the loom on the first take and found out it wasnt in the same spawn campsite. Ended up being the last one campsite (again lol).

Hello. Wow nice set up @Maconijnr. Reminds me of Louisiana swamp mansion lol. You guys with all your electricity and techs i envy you lol. I will have to try a new game with a smaller build cabin lol. Both game still building, though i have most likely given up for now on the first game i started and working/building on the 2nd game currently. Still building my cabin apartment lol, its 6-7 story tall and 5x5 base foundation wide. Once i stop building i can start crafting and collecting mats and resources for solar and electricity and such up and running lol.

Nice solar panel layout. You can never have too many watermelons. Cant live without them lol.

cheers Ravenwolf :) I'm glad my vision came across, that's exactly the kind of feel I was aiming for :D
when it comes too building small or big it's just finding a balance of what props you have to fill out the space you create :) too small and it feels cramped, too big and it feels sparse and empty.
There's never enough diff props/furniture in these games for me lol the whole inside of the 1st floor is empty for now lol just not decided where to go with it from what we have available to build lol

hmm, I build just enough to complete the game. Most of the time this is a 3X3 hut with one or more stories to hold all the crafting stations, etc.

I love the survival aspect and barely tolerate the building parts :)

Hello. Have noticed that bigger the encampment, the more likely they attack inside (since they spawn where you are (50 meters or 100 feet, not sure but just guessing). Not counting the roaming infected that roams/spawn near the outskirt of wooden fences. Think if one has a small (2x2, 3x3, with smaller wooden fences (unlike mine) would have a better view of spotting them when they do spawn or roam near).

May have to try a new game later and just build a 3x3 and smaller defense (wooden fences) and building up on blueprints (oil extracts, solar panel and such, instead of putting time into building lol). Some may just want to build and some just want to finish the game/or make it quick.

Finally working on the oil extract, getting the supplies to build it now and solar panels too. Took break from building up, currently at 7 story tall lol. Got side tracked and built 6 story tall outpost nearby, 2x3 (2 wide by 3 long base foundation, 2x2 actual outpost, the other part is the outside stairs.

I do find it fun to dive off, or jump into the pond lol from the walkway. Do envy those who already have electricity and solar lol. Torches and oil lamp can only do so much lol.
