How to craft a winter coat ???

How to craft a winter coat.. It literally says 25 plant fibre and 10 feathers on a workbench and it gives no other info, but that is not working?

spending half a day to find out how the janky game works is a bit frustrating..
Also more gas would be nice for the AV.

You used a clothing rack to craft the jacket? in that link it says use a workbench to craft it..

No to hang it on to as it will try an auto place it on the body.

That is not what I am asking though is it.

I placed 25 plant fibre and 10 feathers on a workbench and there is no option to craft a snow jacket and I am wearing nothing.

Ok I found the issue with this janky game, when it comes to the snow jacket anyway, the only way it works is if you shift click fibre and feathers into the workbench and it goes it the first slots, if you place the items anywhere else on the workbench manually it does not work...

It didnt recognice that problem so I tried it out and I could draw it manually to anywhere and craft winter jacket.
That is a little weird.

After I made the jacket, I can now place the items anywhere to make the jacket.... it seems like it's just the first time you make it, or just some weird bug that only happens to a few, either way it's done now, hopefully this discussion will save a few people a few hours of frustration if they run into the same issue in the future.

The easiest method to craft anything in this game is to open the workbench you need, click to open the Itempedia from the workbench interface, then click the picture of the item you wish to craft. The necessary ingredients will be automatically placed on the workbench and you can then click craft or craft all.

I use the itempedia all the time, no worry about having 11 of something instead of 10, it will load exactly what is needed. Great thing.

Gas is all over the place. something like 35+ places to get gas. One place has 6 gas cans in it.

To add to this the gas cans re-spawn when the loot re-spawns for poi`s, so depending on how often you chose the re-spawn loot to be in settings, is when they will re-spawn also, so there is always way more than really needed.

Yea, I have a small circle I run for loot (about 8 times in 220+ days) and I have 30 gas cans at my base, you know, just in case there is a medical disaster and I need them.

I did that a few hours ago, picked up a few cans in a few towns around me, it's just the first few days you can't take no wrong turns or the gas you start with wont last, then it's a pain, not so bad if you watch how to play from streamers or YouTube videos, bit different coming at it blind, luckily I am familiar with crafting /survival zombie games, I see loot respawn is every 10-11 days, so I will keep doing the same for now, or I might head to the desert at some point, to get some oil shale, I'm brand new to this game so still a bit to learn, but no deaths yet, my field of spikes is doing the job

True at the moment i`m still early into my new game, so i am keeping one can at all times in ATV and selling the remainder And keeping one at base for truck.

You will find the truck gets amazing range on a full can of fuel. It may not be great for trying to get through tree's, but heck it will make it to 10 towns for looting and gathering. My short run 5 to sell, 1 to keep. I often forget to sell them and end up with 1 sold and 5 back in base.
I can make this run 3 times before adding fuel. I keep one can in the truck all the time.
