Suggestion Food Prep Table

While crafting a recipe would it be more efficient to place the needed food-items on the prep-table with L-shift+right mouse button instead of dragging and dropping them? I noticed by accident that this is possible with items from the backpack on the prep-table but of course useless; you can't make a recipe from items in your backpack. It's just an idea.

There is an easier way already. If you have the needed materials for the recipe in your inventory, try this: With the food prep table open, you can open the recipe book and simply click the recipe that you wish to make. I think you have to acknowledge the crafting.
