Wall Jumping Issue....?
So when I try to jump from wall to wall while trying to reach the dagger of time, it only lets me jump 3 times and when I press space on the 3rd time I just hit the wall and fall. Anyone else having the same issue?...Thanks! :mars:

I'm guessing it's most likely a timing issue. If the timing is even slightly off on any of the jumps, you fall. But then, these games are glitchy, so who knows. But, the wall jumping ultimately worked fine for me (after ages of working on getting the timing 'just right').

Do I just keep pressing space? Or do I have to hold A or D and press space?

Once I got going on the jumps, the directional keys didn't seem to make any difference anymore. I'm fairly certain I was just pushing the spacebar for the last several in the series, though I may be wrong. If I was pushing anything though, it'd be the D key. You just need to angle yourself into it correctly to start. I ultimately pushed the Prince tight back against the statue (so he'd stop launching at an angle on occasion) and then ran to the right up the wall from directly next to it and then into the series of jumps. Then, each push of the spacebar needs to be just as his feet touch, just before his 'impact' can be heard. It's tricky as hell, and I can't even tell you how many times I fell at the same point as you until I figured out the timing. If you make that next jump though, it suddenly seems much easier for some reason. I think you're just in the rhythm at that point, plus the coloring scheme and wall width makes it easier to 'see' when to push the jump button.

Ahhh alright, I'll try some more. Thanks!

I ultimately watched a YouTube video of the playthrough of that part, as it allowed me to "see" what the timing is on the jumps. It might help you as well.

Are any of you having mouse issues these days?

I am having issues with mouse in Sands of Time and Warrior Within, it used to work and now does not. Windows 7, Logitech MUV94 mouse.

Not even my trackpad on my late 2012 Macbook Pro is functioning

Did you find a solution yet to the mouse issue if you've had it?

Several years ago I purchased this game on discs and still to this very day I cannot get past that stupid wall to wall jump and quit the game and series alltogether, maybe I will buy the expansions or something on steam one day. But that is purely frustrating as heck.

Playing on Steam deck and I struggled with the wall jumps.. I think turning down to 30 FPS and turning on Vsync helps.

Thanks for this. I was having issues with the wall to wall jump in The Baths/There's Something Glowing Up There (33%). I found that disabling vsync for this section allowed me to complete it easily. I think there must be an issue on modern systems. I am using a desktop and finished this section easily a decade or so ago :steamhappy:

Even with VSync on and 120 Hz, the wall jump does not work.

Hey dbdk4221,

Thank you for updating the thread, sorry to hear that you have also had trouble with these wall jumps.

Can I check that you have tried the advice kindly shared by others in this thread such as limiting your FPS to 30 and comparing your timing to others?

Many thanks

Thank you so much for this bro. Was having issues in the bath section and got it first try with your fix. Hero

Limiting the fps did not help. Instead with 30fps, the whole experience was laggy.
However, I tried a fan patch which is also linked on pcgamingwiki, allowing higher widescreen resolutions. Now with 4K and 120 Hz, from my first testings, all seems playable.
In any case, it's generally a sad thing that a fan patch is necessary to get a specific content (like higher resolutions or a working wall jump) which should be included in the game itself.
