Might as well be. He is on the cover and it says Prince of Persia below it with big letters. He also uses time powers and does wallrunning which are the personal moves of the prince. You are literally playing the prince but they just changed the name and people like you actually fall for it and think it's more than a different skin. He is like a black spiderman, a replacement for the original hero. I wouldn't even be surprised if at the end of the game it was revealed that he is a prince as well or he somehow becomes a prince by the end.
Very good point 😆
I am a bit bummed that they are not releasing it on Steam. If I’m paying full retail anyway, would have rather had it on Steam. Easier to load up on the steam deck. But it’s not a big deal. It’s not like it takes more than a few seconds to add EGS games to steam deck. I find it funny that people “hate” an online store. It’s just a store. Yes, we have our preferences, but if they don’t work out I would rather play the game than whine about which launcher I had to use.
I am glad they decided to take a risk and go to metroidvania style. By all accounts this game is doing a lot of new things within than genre which is rare in this well established genre. Can’t wait to play the game.
Just like how the main character is borrowing the role and abilities of the Prince, same way this game borrows pretty much all of it's aspects and systems from other games where this formula have worked before. Don't let the different backgrounds, characters and colors fool you into thinking that they have created something original here.
That's a morbid oversimplification of things. Just because one comment says "I don't like his hair." that doesn't mean this is the only issue with the game, but not everyone likes to write long comments.
There are some things just fundamentally wrong with these kind of games for example Ubisoft and EA makes. Some people see through the nice visuals and other marketing distractions and see how soulless these games really are, simply trying to imitate emotions like a robot by copying other games and replacing the main character, but weirdly enough keeping the name Prince of Persia.
I don't think it's a risk at all, games like these are usually a lot cheaper to develop than a third person action game like we had before. Especially nowadays. It's a well calculated business move, not a risk. Maybe a calculated risk, so even if it doesn't sell well at least it was cheap to make.
We have mobile games now that look like this or even better and play very similarly too.
I'm not going to play it, but you feel free to enjoy it as much as you like.
Have fun.
If you want to dive deeper into the details and get some predictions about when it might come to Steam, you can check out this article I found: "https://buycheapplaycheap.com/gaming-news/is-prince-of-persia-the-lost-crown-launching-on-steam/". It provides a good explanation of the situation and offers some insights into possible release dates. Hope this helps clarify things!
dude look egyptian. im someone who is with a lotta iranians
never have i seen a persian with that tan
Yeah its a mixture of different themes. Id except some arab persian stuff cause they fit next to eachother mostly. But it doesnt fit.
At the time when warrior within came out it felt american. But you know what upon playing the game i liked the metal ost and the dark theme where the prince pretty much lost his kingdom. Its a good game
And to honor your request. Prince of persia 3d is awesome. Im sure the souls fans will like it especially if its remade it will be like a souls game im sure. The battles were one o one and heavy.
Back to that new pop crown whatever. It simply is not prince of persia. Its literally not there. And that in itself is a shame. They can give it a positive review everywhere. But u know you cant trust the media. I played the demo and its total garbage when u compare it with castlevania bloodstained metroid and even record of the lodoss war. This game is what you call a wooden like character he moves like pinnochio and it was made to cater the possibility to always win
(For the inepts)
To backtrack a bit they wanted to remake sands of time and it was made by hindu people who tarnished the god demn remake and everybody looked hindu so they had to ditch the game. And now we see this prince of persia crown whatever.
Mark my words. If you see the developer team you will realise why the game looks the way it is.
These mofos cater themselves and are on tbeir smartphone all the time while looking outta the window hoping the clock ticks 5 to go home
Cheap game
Cheap developers
But good pr.
Thats all man
So, are we looking at a year delay before the game hits Steam do you think?
That's how usually it is with Epic exclusive games. At least a year, but sometimes more.
Link? In Ocarina of Time the protagonist name was VinylTheClown if I remember it correctly. At leaat that was the name I chose at the time. Have you played it?
How DARE they change something, right? If it was up to you, I bet we would never have Prince of Persia with dialogs or wall running or any of the stuff we saw in SoT. That was "uncharacteristic" of the prince and not true to the original game. But many will say that was an improvement.
Well...at least I'm not an idiot who critizes a game without having played it. Very smart...but I guess anyone could expect that from you, right?
Have you even read what the game is about? lol. "I know ♥♥♥♥ about this game but me not like it" is all I hear.
