Can't get past timing statue.

I remember having troubles with this when I was younger playing this on PS2, well I got it for free on Uplay, and I'm having the misfortune of playing it with PC controls. (Mouse camera with platformers is more often than not asscancer to the 3rd degree.) I can't seem to get past the section of the tutorial where you have to time your jumps to get up the side of the statue's head. Again, I remember having trouble with this part as a child, but once my parents told me to time my jumps, it was easy, I can't seem to replicate it though. I swear I'm timing it perfectly, but he always just ends up falling down. Is this bit broken for PC, or just made more difficult by PC controls, or do I just suck after not playing for so long?

I played it for the first time today... I'm where you kill your "zombie" father.... no problem at all with mouse and keyboard (but I play all games with mouse and keyboard since I suck with any controller).
that part is actually not really easy, but possible. just try again and remember to right click during jump.

Right click? I thought it was just the jump button. >.< That just poses more questions. like do I hold right click? Do I have to sync it with the jump presses? How is it possible to ♥♥♥♥ up a tutorial this much?

right click to run on walls and space to jump.

I did, I can run up the walls, but after the first jump, it doesn't work.

during jump continue to right click.

right-click+D
->jump (while right click)
->jump (while right click)
etc...

just try and try... this is the last thing you have to do during the tutorial.

Also for now this is the only place in the game where I had to jump more than 1-2 times.

Just try, it is not that difficult, you only need to understand how it work with try and error.
Now I'm at 75% of this game, I love the puzzle and the story but the combat against the same monsters over and over is a little boring. Still it is a fun game.

Quick question, I was thinking of getting the PS3 version for a while for this game but now it's free on PC. My question is: Is the PS3 version better ?

PS3 probably has much better camera control. It's a general rule that PC sucks for platformers.

Thank you for answering Cat! I know the PS3 version is called HD Remaster, so i was more worried about the graphical diference...
