Worth buying?

Hi there. Big fan of M&B and other historical games. Is this game worth buying? Are Europe servers alive?

Yes, certainly worth buying. Constant near full servers of 25/25 for the Commander Conquest mode and a handful of lower pop ones with different game modes.

You need a fairly decent PC to get the most out of it right now.

horrific performance, but overall fun and interesting gameplay. For 3$ I really think you can't go wrong. Try the free demo (which includes multiplayer).

Performance is my second biggest gripe with the game. Vince just put the data packets through weight training or something and shrunk them a ton so hopefully that will help you guys free up some CPU to use on the rest of the game and get more fps.

It's 3 euros, so I would imagine it's worth it. I tried it out just now and it seems like what is advertised, although prepare yourself for an extremely simple looking game.

Holdfast doesn't have AI as far as I know.

BCoF has bots which seem to be slowly getting better. They mostly suffer from pathfinding problems like phasing through walls and poor tactical awareness. They are planning on implementing bot commanders soon as well.

Bot commanders will probably make this game more available for everyone, since you can run a server with bots to keep things going.

no commander mode in Holdfast. No line battles are happening in hold fast unless you join some clan..... This game is way better
