but my crashes are not realy tied to cubes , they are random
i noticed when stage take way too long to load it mostly crashed after imidietly after at one point
i dont think square will fix issues. steam overlay is comletly broken for me in windows 10 in this game
As to the stated error code, it is apparently an issue in both Nioh and Nioh 2 as well, same exact code(s), 20 and 30, and messages. So it's a Team Ninja thing that has been around for at least six years and will never be fixed. Now, the Nioh players (on PC) seem to have figured out at least one cause that may apply here: turn off OneDrive or Google file synching if you have it on. It interferes with the constant saving that the Team Ninja games do (in emulation of FromSoft games, which to my knowledge have never had a problem like this).
The auto saving does seem to be triggered by certain events such as even just approaching cubes, not necessarily interacting with them. Look at the bottom left corner of your screen to see the saving icon appear when you do this. Being on Xbox I don't have any OneDrive (they removed the app from the store for Xbox entirely, apparently for lack of interest) much less Google synching going on, but in desperation I disconnected my Xbox from the internet and played for a bit. I thought it was going to happen again because as I approached a set of cubes near the beginning of the first side mission the save icon popped up and didn't go away, and when I interacted with the cubes the Save option was darkened and unavailable, all telltale signs of an imminent crash, but when I saved a video of the whole thing (similar process to taking a screenshot that caused a crash the day before), the save icon went away and I was then able to save manually and continue playing normally! Definitely needs more testing but is an encouraging sign, although I don't like playing disconnected from the internet.
