is there a way to have jack wear his unarmoured outfit while having armour?

Unfortunately not, I really want to look at Jack in casual attire go against the world without sacrificing stats for it.

They did let you disable headgear so that's something I guess.

Put on the clothes you want Jack to wear (other party members too if you wish), save it as a preset, open the sub menu on that preset, and select "set as appearance". You will now look like that preset no matter what you're actually wearing.

To clarify, are y'all looking to have naked Jack or pajama Jack in appearance only, but have the full power of their armor?

If yes, you'll have to save your naked Jack / pajama Jack on both jobs as a Preset at the Cubes / save point or the main map. Save that appearance as a preset, then select the preset with Set As Appearance.

Then equip your real armor you want to benefit from.

Edit: Would strongly recommend locking in everyone's aesthetic appearance and/or weapon to avoid it getting dismantled or discarded.

Presets. Only found out about it post game when the Malboro asked me to do it in a quest.
