big difference in enemy health between mission lv 400 and 420?
I was using a gear level 400 build that can almost one shot bosses on mission level 400. I got some higher level gears so I tried playing a level 420 mission, but I was barely doing 1/20 damage against the boss' health.

Is this normal? Seems weird that 20 level jumps would increase boss health and defense by so much. So do we basically need to make completely new builds now?

- bahamut dlc you have to go full master points and level jobs beyond limit.
- ofc always using max level of item of dlc whether it’s 300, 400, or finally 500.
- I’m Gilgamesh difficulty I had my first real trouble. Surviving and dealing damage. That’s when I realised there is overpowered secret gear you have to find in the rift which has Eikon buffs attached to them. It’s ultra important to do this before attempting anything.
- finally dlc 3 difficulty is the culmination of everything and you’re supposed to be maxed out in everything to attempt it. Unless you use extra mode of course.

Did you had 420 gear too?
And yeah, there will be spikes like that, you're at the point where optimizing gear and affinities really matters.

If this is Bahamut 400 vs. Gilgamesh 420, I could see a spike of sorts. Enough that trials you could do on Bahamut may need to be adjusted until you have relics and take advantage of 600% affinity. For better or worse, that progression is tied to the Rift Labyrinth.

For reference, what were your stats (Strength/Intellect/Agility), what was your main form of offense, and did you have any trials on (e.g., Enemy Stats +40, Break Damage -30%, etc.)

yeah I got some 417 gears that's what made me think I should try higher mission level.

I see, thanks. Yeah I went from Bahamut to Gilgamesh. So I guess it's not just the mission level that changed. I played 3 rift floors but wanted to farm some higher level gears but guess I should play more rift first.

It starts to get serious from level 20 and 30 onwards, but the loot is way superior. You really gotta have the full team of monsters, buffs, and recovery items, to evolve beyond that. And lufenia difficulty is scaled to level 30 of the rift. So I suggest reaching level 30 before attempting lufenia. However you could also just run through lufenia on extra mode. But to get all the achievements of Gilgamesh dlc you need to beat rift floor 30.

Beyond item red level you have dark blue eikon items which have amazing buff from one of 12 eikons. And the stats of the gear is even beyond level 500 red items. So very needed for lufenia.

You can skip all this ofc, but it’s still amazing the depth they created for dlc 2 and 3, I’m enjoying it although it’s insanely hard.

yeah I bought the dlc specifically for these contents. I just didn't expect the difficulty spike to come so soon and completely evaporated what I thought was a super OP build. Just gotta look into farming some new stuffs now lol
