How similar is it to Nioh?

Does it have the same replayability of Nioh with all the different builds and ng+ on higher difficulties? Or is it more of a one-and-done type game?

Also, how do the levels/missions compare?

3 NG+ with the second one unlocking the rift (Basically like diablo rifts) to grind.

A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of builds, way more than Nioh 2 at least.

Levels are pretty mid, Nioh 2's were better by far.

Gameplay is pretty different from Nioh, no stance switching obviously but still very fast paced. The jobs you switch between vary gameplay immensely.

Levels are team ninja-like. Bland levels where you go from one enemy to another. Find a checkpoint and shortcuts to certain checkpoints. The combat is tight tho. I keep wondering why Wo Long has barebones combat when ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Stranger of Paradise made it work without stances. (light attack plus heavy attack inputs changes what you can do like Dynasty Warriors)

Levels don't feel as long as Wo Long/Nioh tho so that might be a plus. I heard that DLCs are the ones that make the game harder. I just bought the base game since I'll figure out how much I like the game--so far from a story perspective it's meh but the gameplay is pretty solid and its carrying the game for me. I'm kinda the outlier because I played the other team ninja games both for the aesthetic and gameplay.

in terms of story, the story is empty as ♥♥♥♥ tho but the main protagonist is a meme.

Ah, so basically it's got fun gameplay but lacking in other areas.

Does it seem like a full fledged game worth the price like Nioh though? Also, how is the armor variety. Is there a lot?

Very similar. Nioh 2 is better overall, btw.
Also Nioh 2 is looking better and is not stuttering as much lol

It's totally similar to nioh, basically the structure of the game is the same. Same as Wo Long too.

Whats different are the combat details. Like it focuses on final fantasy tropes like jobs. You can have two jobs at the same time.

There are very different jobs in this game from strong melee tank, pure dps, or various mage classes.

It's very fun game. Enemies aren't as crazy as nioh , but they are hard in diff way.

I haven't bought the season pass but I heard the replayability is similar to Nioh(unlocking further difficulties and eventually end game dungeons). On the surface level, it is nothing like Nioh though. A lot of people here will not tell you that. Level design, visual design and gameplay mechanics are completely different. So if you are going into the game expecting something similar to Nioh, you will be very disappointed.

I also have to say game looks like garbage, no idea why. Everything looks blurry and colors are t errible. Literally looks like a ps3 game on the first glance.

nioh 2 is their crown jewel still, but this game is in a good place aswell, lots of options for builds and fun combat, level design is nowhere close tho, its basically FF15 if team ninja made it... id say its pretty darn good and i can feel like sinking lots of hours into it (as a guy who loved FF15 and still does)... this one also has coop so you can mess around with ur buddies if you want
