So... Deluxe or Standard? Are the DLCs worth it?
I'm a Team Ninja fan if that helps. Unironically would say I actually played their recent games for the story lmfao but do enjoy the gameplay.

Edit: Or maybe just get the base and season pass instead? Seems cheaper if I don't want the digital artbook?

Buy the standard edition and see if you like the game, then get the Season pass, its also 10$ cheaper than deluxe

If I'd add it at as a tl;dr, it would be like:
Postgame Content that includes:
- Difficulty Modifiers
- Floors, I think Nioh had something similar that would explain it better than me

I'm not sure about the 3rd DLC myself, but I feel it's worth it, if you really like the game

standard + season pass is the way

Dlc are new area but harder content, doing same thing and new job.

I wouldn't say worth it unless you like repetitively getting harder content, and overall playing jobs same way as earlier. But mobs hit harder and take longer to kill.

Hi A,

I would say to hold off on the Season Pass / Deluxe Edition until you've played the post-credits game. And if you find yourself sitting at item level 300, job level 99, smithed gear, running through the missions, craving more possibilities and different challenges, and keeping up with the RPG treadmill - then you're a candidate for the DLCs.

Where some Team Ninja fans have said, "I enjoyed the base game difficulty. I hate the DLC difficulty." (In that, the DLCs require more RPG and inventory management than the base game.)

Edit: For me on the build crafting side, the DLCs were easily worth it. The build options and expanding the fights further for me. Where 25% of my gameplay time was spent in the base game and the other 75% the DLCs.

Make an account at Green Man Gaming, sign in, and you can get the deluxe edition for 31.99 on Steam, then add the DLC, or get the deluxe edition for 47.99

I don't think it's available in my region. I was checking earlier and it won't work. But steam ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ locked me out from buying because my payment won't go through. Is the game region free if I buy on GMG? I'll just try there again if ever.

not even then. I mean i guess you could, but if you enter chaos mode not clear it at 300. Anything dlc will 1-2 shot you. So its beat the game, beat chaos, ranks then dlc. Hence why most community was kinda meh in way team ninja handled it.

Actually, you telling me to hold off made me realize that I'm buying the season pass on full price. Might as well hold off on it if ever.

I straight-up didn't like the DLC, it didn't add anywhere near enough new stuff to keep me interested and just generally created new things to grind out to infinity. The actual base game is really fun, though, and I'd definitely recommend at least playing through for the story.

I understand that. I didnt buy the expansions because while I liked the game was going to wait for steam. What I did. But they did give access to new jobs, Is beating the new areas the only way to get the new jobs. Or can you play the new job after you beat main game, easy to unlock. Example blue mage, and the ranger gun job.

you can use dlc jobs from the start. only summoner is limited to after finishing first dlc and blue mage is after 2nd or 3rd dlc. Other dlc jobs can be used from the start.
