limit break on jobs
I'm on chaos now, haven't gotten the season pass yet. Do I have to replay all the story missions over and over on each new difficulty (Bahamut, Gilgamesh, Lufenia) to get those limit break?

No.

Clear at a high mission level to unlock all the rewards in one go.

And you might only do this for the jobs you actually play. To keep up with the power curve without Extra Mode, this will be about two main missions - and you might be replaying one of them just because you are not yet strong enough to handle the higher mission level.

If you have the Season Pass, you have the option to practically skip Chaos difficulty. If you're playing without Extra Mode, I wouldn't recommend it and would still suggest getting the limit releases for the jobs you play from Chaos difficulty (or at least one of them, preferably two).

And Gilgamesh and Lufenia difficulties do not require you to replay any previous main mission on the world map. (e.g., Gilgamesh difficulty progression is through the Rift Labyrinth. Lufenia progression is on new missions..

The rewards for beating a mission on a specific mission level are also earned when you beat it on a higher level, which includes doing it on later dlcs.
So if you want all the level limit breaks you only need to do the highest level that rewards the limit breaks.

In short, yes.

The limit releases for main story missions will stretch out till mission lvl 350 - 370.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Once you have access to the rift, you can ignore map missions for limits, rift got you covered for all classes through random arcanium chest drops. But that's for season pass.

nice thanks, good to know. Guess I will just get the jobs I use often on chaos and leave the rest for the rift when I get the DLCs.

This is only half correct; There are three ways to get level limit breaks:
• Doing story missions on a specific difficulty
• Gaining them from Arcanium chests in the Rift
• Buying them from the dragonking (DLC1)
However these sources are limited on their own, doing the Rift is not gonna get you the mission rewards from story missions and buying everything from the dragonking isn't going to get you all rift drops.
Basically to reach the max level limit break you have to get all breaks from all three sources.

I've ignored story mission rewards for jobs I didn't cared for.
I still have every single job at 250 doing rifts alone.

The missions and dlc1 shops is if you want to have a job or two to start the rifts with as you really do need these mastery points there, but once you get the ball rolling, arcanium chests got you gully covered.

I haven't done a single mission after unlocking summoner to get its mastery higher, yet its still at 250 with everything else due to rifts alone.

Do the missions until you get strong enough to start rifts.

And have you checked if the missions then count it as obtained?
Have you gotten the DLC3 jobs to 250 with just the rift?
And moreover, isn't the hard level cap 300?

You still see job limits as rewards, you just don't get anything once you complete them.
To get 300, you need to be 100+ on the rift and I'm at 65th floor only.

I've got every single job to 250 with just rift.

Once I get the DLC, I just want to tackle the new contents and don't want to bother with the same story missions again, so that's great to know! thanks!
