how are people get over 1000% on affinity on a single piece of gear

On a single gear piece when you're checking their battle settings or stream, they're cheating.

Weird one of the people I know they didn't cheat they said the smite just let them keep upgrading but I thought it had to be a glitch

If it's one-handed weapon or a single slot armor, 250% will be the max.
If it's a two-handed weapon, 350% the max.
And if it's a two slot armor, 557% the max.

If you see something that doesn't line up with this and they're on Steam, it is extremely likely they are cheating. Especially if they have more than one piece of gear over the 558% mark.

(If you're talking about blessings, then that's 999% capped on a piece of gear and anyone that goes over that on a single piece of gear is cheating.)

And then, there is Rift, where you can get additional affinity from summoned creatures for up to ~10 different classes, it will keep increasing as long as you're killing things with that certain class.

So I assume its the rift stats as well.

But if its on a gear, its cheats, as explained above.

That's partly true. if item has 2 affinities. one 1000% and second 180% then fusing will change both to 1000% and even bump the new affinity from fused item(if you decide to change the affinity) to 1000% too.

Me and my son played over 100 hours co-op, he has 2 items with over 1000% affinity, and he definitely didn't cheat we sit across from each other. lol

Would you happen to have a screenshot of the two items? This may help narrow it down if there is a particular item that is allowing for this to drop.

By default however, anything that's outside of the numbers I mentioned is typically perceived as cheating, because they've only surfaced on players that save edit or use cheats (such as adding 1000% affinity to each item a player equips) and such. Enough to cause the font to get disjointed.

There were two exceptions to this over the last year, but they were both in the 300% base affinity range. And it was on less than ideal gear (non-artifact).

Ive gotten one over 1000% dropped, but only when i was playing with full dragon trial debuffs, so rank XI with it, i doubt id also get another one of em because that was a nightmare, but its a ragnarok sword with 1234% on blue artifact rarity

The cap for gear is 999% per weapon / armor slot and the world map does not drop anything 800% or higher. Did you mean another value like 734%?

They're talking about affinity, not summon blessing.

Which also cannot be obtained without cheating. The max value possible on gear when it drops is much lower than that, somewhere around 300% for 2h weapons and 200% for armor, and you can only increase it 60%. The exception is gear that goes in two slots, which has double the affinity, but is still nowhere close to 1000%.

Seems it was just a glitch, as soon as i equipped it, the 1 from 1234% disappeared, so turns out it was 234% after all
