Question regarding preset appearance and auto-dismantle accessories

Hello there, I'm enjoying the game so far, but I'm having a bit of trouble on the following things:

1) From my understanding, when you want to change the appearance of your gear, you must make a preset first and then use it as appearance: I know that you need to keep the piece of gears used and not dismantle/discard them, but what I don't understand is if there is a way to change the appearance only of a particular character instead of the whole party. What I'm trying to achieve is to keep my party members with their default clothes, while Jack will keep showing the current gear I have equipped. Is this possible to achieve? Because unless I'm unable to find it, I cannot see any function to allow appearance on a specific character and whatnot;

2) Is there a way to retrieve the default, original clothes of every character? Thankfully I have locked them, but should I discard/dismantle them by mistake, is there way to obtain them again?

3) I'm trying to fiddle with the auto-dismantle option and trying to make the feature completely ignore my accessories, but no matter what I do (I put accessories on ignore), the option still picks them to be dismantled: is there a way/setting to let the feature completely ignore accessories?

1) If I understand you correctly, this is not possible. The alternative is constantly updating Jack's gear in the appearance preset.

2) There is a way to obtain the starter clothes later as a very rare RNG drop. And it's a pain in the butt being at RNGesus's mercy. For aesthetic reasons, it is good that you locked them.

(I defer to others on the auto-dismantle. I turned it off a year ago due to trust issues with it.)

1) I had the feeling you would say so, I wish they used Nioh/Nioh 2 appearance system instead :(
