Report a translation problem
1) If I understand you correctly, this is not possible. The alternative is constantly updating Jack's gear in the appearance preset.
2) There is a way to obtain the starter clothes later as a very rare RNG drop. And it's a pain in the butt being at RNGesus's mercy. For aesthetic reasons, it is good that you locked them.
(I defer to others on the auto-dismantle. I turned it off a year ago due to trust issues with it.)
