Wireless Xbox 360 Controller - Solved

I had a major headache trying to get this to work, so for all those who want to play SC:DA using a wireless xbox360 controller, please follow the instructions below:

1. Go to the following link and download the RAR file:

NOTE: Link is to my OneDrive account if anyone unsure about link.

2. OPTIONAL: Right click on RAR file and scan for any potential malicious code etc for your own peace of mind.

3. Extract folder and contents from RAR to somewhere memorable such as desktop

4. Open Folder, Select All (CTRL+A) and copy (CTRL+C)

5. Navigate to your install location, should be something similar to the following:
D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Splinter Cell - Double Agent

6. Go to SCDA-Offline, then System

7. Paste files into this directory, then run the x360ce.exe and ensure your controller is mapped as you like.

8. Run game and you should find this now works!

NOTE: When going onto Online, you may need to paste the files into the SCDA-Online>System folder, though this is untested.

NOTE: You need to use D-Pad in menus for Online.

This is EXACTLY what I needed, and had just about given up. Thanks!

The only thing that didn't work was that sometimes the right analog stick would act as the right trigger, but this was a known issue with x360ce.

If anyone else has this problem, you just have to download a new xinput1_3.dll from x360ce's website, then copy and replace every dll from Jam31st's archive with the new ones (you will have to rename some xinput1_3.dlls and overwrite xinput1_4.dll, xinput9_1_0.dll, etc).

This did not work for me at all or any of the other wireless 360 controller settings that I've found around the internet and steam forums, I don't know what to do anymore, I like keyboard and mouse for other games but not so much splinter cel

You need to follow the above steps exactly, it will then work. Please note, I have no idea if this works for unofficial Xbox controllers or adapters.

Sorry to dig up an old thread.....but I'm having issues getting my wireless controller to work. Game doesn't seem to even recognize that there is a controller connected.

I don't own the older ones i'm afraid. I suspect you could get it working in a similar way though!

Or if all else fails you could try Xpadder or Pinnacle Game Profiler, though they aren't as nice as native support!
