Cover Action ?

Does this game have one, I have memories of playing this back on release and i use too whistle to grab attention of gaurds from behind pillars in crouched position, and then as the guard drew close i would get the interaction button displayed on screen, which once pressed...

Made Sam grab the guard, drag to the floor, and sit on his back whilst pulling his neck upwards!!

But cant seem to get it working, so now im wondering if i got the right splintercell, but this is the one that i played the most of, Have checked key bindings and cant see a cover button. Maybe I have forgotton the techinque and you guys can aid.

press Q to take cover / lean against walls.
maybe you need to crouch first with C
