Alien GPT can now generate lore for my aliens????

Having to create my own lore was a headache!

as long as its confined strictly to the game.. otherwise you have permanently lost me as a player.

Love it. Do you ever think you could integrate a LLM for speaking with citizens, heroes, or negotiating with other leaders?

Not a big fan of AI, sadly.

Good to see you tackling some of the many bugs I've encountered in the last build and noticed while watching 100Stratman's latest stream. He's a good bug finder and also great advertising for your game.

No lie I love it, for a story generation part it makes the game so much more immersive. For graphics or similar it wouldnt work yell with modern AI but for any story generation it does a pretty good job.

No matter how much you improve your AI slop machine it will still produce slop.

@devs are you using transformer model to create your AI? just curious

The biggest issue that I see still is when trading happens. Many offers want all or most of my money and if you make the slightest change to the trade they no longer like the trade.

I can't choose any phenotype except humanoid when making a civ. I have all the DLC installed. Also, the process of saving the civ shows progress messages but they frequently go away with no ability to click on buttons so it feels like the game has frozen when it hasn't.

Alien GPT is still not too great though. Honestly, it would have been way better to just allow us to customise our own leaders.
Like give us all genders of each species, and let us pick different outfits, faces and such for them in a menu.
It still seems unable to give me relevant portraits. Like I just typed in lizards, hoping to find portraits to match the lizard citizen species, but nope. It can't even do that.


The lore stuff I'd rewrite myself anyway. AI really has no business in stuff like that, it needs to leave the creative stuff to people.

I thought AI generated content was prohibited on Steam, since it literally just steals from other creators. But maybe I just imagined that?
