Resistance Gateway Issue.
When I first started to build these a few weeks back, it looked to me like ships automatically went to the Nearest one to jump to the Closest one nearest the Destination.
Today I am attempting to send some ships through two to a desired destination, and they only jump between two in the same sector, and don't even consider jumping to the completed unit in the area I want them to jump to...
they will not Enter a gate on their own, only if I send them to it. No more Auto-Jumps.

I never paired them earlier, and they looked to send ships where I wanted them...
Just figured the Pairing. Did not need to do that when they first came on here that I recall.

How would I Pair Them??
If you select one Gateway, you should be able to click the Pairing icon at the bottom left: Set Paired Gateway.
Got it. thanks.
From the Change Log:

Stellar Gateways
Toggle button is properly disabled when a Megastructure is under construction
Added correct icons for decommissioning a Stellar Gateway

Might be nice to Add "Must Be Paired To Work"...
Just curious...
When these first came into the game, they did not need to be Paired...
You could select a ship, side scroll to the destination, Click it, and the ship would Auto-Move to the nearest gate, and exit from the nearest gate to that desired destination...
Why was that SIMPLE Operation removed from the game??
I think the first 2 you build automatically get paired up but after that you need to pair gateways. I noticed this the last game I played, I had built 4 gateways and was surprised when ships where using the first two gateways prior to me pairing them. After I had 4 gateways built the 2 unpaired gateways needed me to pair them up.
OK.. The Auto Go To gate does not work even if they are Paired. The ship Must be sent to a Gate for it to jump through...
Would be Great if Each Gate Location did not need to be Memorized in each Sector for this to work...
I was just trying to send one of my Dreadnoughts through a gate. Is there a Size limit for ships going through them??

I wonder if the issue may pop up when a new gateway is build. Like you have to redo your pairings or else the game will "forget" them and not use the shortcuts properly.

Probably. I have sent a couple of Colony ships and they sit until I check and Re-Pair the gate.
The way it work at the start is a better way IMHO...
I am seeing a Side Issue with the Gates...
I have made quite a few of them, and have Paired Each of them to Gate Number 3.
I send a ship to an earlier gate, and it Sits there, Not Entering the gate. I Re-Pair it with 3, and the ship will go.
Looks like Multiple Pairings Disable Previous Pairings... Not sure, but each time the ship stops and Sits, I need to Re-Pair that unit to the destination.
It gets to be a Pain that way. The Auto-Enter/Auto-Exit idea seems better and better after each issue.

It looks more and more like this is the problem.. Over-Ride the Last.
Yep.. Because I am Pairing all of my gates to One Destination, the Pairing Breaks each time a new gate is added......
That is a problem!!
