I had an artifact that opened a rift, and out pooped a bunch of red space monsters. Killed them, NOW WHAT??? nothing left, quest uncompleted
So, NOW WHAT??
No way to "retrieve" it from a class 2 colony, can't assign a Gov to less than class 10
btw - I spent 10 minutes looking at EVERY SINGLE PLANET in 4 sectors before I found it, it's in the Orbital slot in the planet
As for your OP I have not found it because I have had better things to do with my game time than to"chase" it.
It is hard to achieve and many players like me could care less about achievements.
It was already built into an orbital slot
wtf, it it was that easy all the time, much more than 0.2% would have gotten it by now-
It is one per game is it not?
If so the AI just may be beating the players to it.
Then there are as I stated before players who do not care about achievements.
If I get one whoopee if I don't no bigee.
If you go for a Prestige victory (or to deny it to the AI) you would start the Orb quest, as well as 4 or 5 more simpler quests.
Then when you stumble across the special Artifact that opens the rift, why not use it?
Seems to me that there should be anywhere from 2% to 20% of players getting that Orb by now, even without badge hunting, unless they're all ignoring the Prestige part of the game
I got it, don't know why it worked this time and not a previous time I conquered a world that had the Orb on it - pretty random
Are you saying Prestige Victory must be active?
If that is the case then the AI beating the player to the Orb and as many have said they turn off PV as it comes to fast could explain the low number.
Prestige Victory was Active in all these games - even when I tried to turn it off in the "Victory Status" menu ( I would look a few turns later and it was back to ON )
Next game, I'll turn OFF the Prestige Victory during set-up, and see if that sticks. The in-game settings for Victory conditions do NOT work as advertised
