Did combat change ?

I remmeber there was devs talking about changing how combat works, mainly the rock paper cisor thing with this weapon being good against this defense etc...
Also the way combat works always turned me off from this series.

Any changes in this area since GC III ?

Yes, it depends a LOT more on the composition of your fleet now.

Played Galactic civ 2 with the 1-2-3 combat
Galactic Civ 3 Went all Buggy couldn't play it
G-Civ 4 looks promising though :)

Wait so, armor is not anti missile or kenetic? it just absorbs some dmg, doesnt matter which type?
