Can you destroy planets?

I saw that you can destroy a system, but can you destroy a planet?

The last perk on the nihilism ideology tree allows the construction of terror stars which I believe can destroy suns which causes all worlds in the system to become dead worlds (I think, I haven't unlocked it myself).

Yes, so for clarification, you can destroy stars, which in return destroys all planets in the system, but you cannot destroy only a specific planet

dont civs with the exterminator trait have access to spore ships that kill planets? ive never played as one but remember reading a description about it in the civ editor
