the planet builder sorta sucks, I feel like this game is just micro management and not the fun kind. Going through the motions for each turn but not enough random events to make it interesting. snooze.
Specifics?
I played GC3, and I bought GC4 but only 1/2 hour into my 2 hour decision window. Thats not a lot of time to decide if its worth it.
Heh. The elders of GalCiv have spoken. 4 it is!
The DLCs introduced quite a lot of mechanics and reworks which added new stuff, but also made it more clunky and my impression was that Stardock overnerfed previous stuff so the numbers add up later.
I also found the early game rather tedious and boring.
In comparison GC 4's systems mesh better, the early game is ok, leaders feel way more impactful than GC 3 citizens and I found GC 3 requiring precious resources for everything really annoying. GC 4 seems to hit the sweet spot in that regard. Still choices o make and you have to take acquiring them into consideration but it doesn't feel like you have to run after every single arnor spice or whatever as soon as they pop up somewhere.
