Hey everyone,

I hope you're ready to fight demons and harvest rice in Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin!

I wanted to make a central bug thread so you guys know what we're working on and what information we need when you email us about any bugs you encounter. I'll be trying to scour the threads for new issues, but if something's not up here already please post it in this thread so it'll be easy for me to find.

Useful debug information:

Please email [e-mail] with these details if you are experiencing issues with the game.

Here are some tips to make sure you're getting the best performance out of your PC!

• Make sure your graphics card is being fully utilized:
  
  • Stay updated with relevant drivers from your card manufacturer's website
    
  • Make sure you are using your main graphics card. Different graphics card manufacturers will have guides on how to always use your dedicated card.
• Add Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin to the exceptions of any antivirus program:
  
  • Sakuna.exe is the executable file you need to add.
• Turn off any power saving mode your computer might be using:
  
  • Go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options
    
  • Balanced or High Performance profiles should be chosen. Any Power Saving mode will lower game performance.
• Make sure your PC has the latest Windows Update installed.

I walked through the first door you came across after reaching the island and although it was closed I fell into the abyss and had to reaload.

In the room where you find the kappa the player can walk into the water and clip through the rocks and get stuck.

Please i beg of you fix the farming camera drift i cant plant in straight lines as the camera is constantly turning makking it very fustrating to play when camera goes walkies and you have to balance it back out also rebindable keys please

Posting my thread content here just in case someone runs in to the same issue and so the devs have a better chance at seeing it.

So I am on the end of year 1 Winter 3. I just got finished tilling spreading fertilizer and went to plant the seeds, but it is too late to plant so the game says to wait till tomorrow. I go to eat dinner and there is a cutscene ending with Sakuna getting up after dinner to go to the bathroom. As she leaves, my character gets transported into this strange bright red "room" that is literally only one solid red color with some lens flare like things in the corners for the first few seconds. She can move in all directions but the camera won't turn. I walked in this "room" for like 5 minutes before deciding to exit the game.

I load the autosave that seemed to have saved right after that cutscene, and now the game instantly crashes to desktop whenever I attempt to load. I have tried like 10 times now. So I guess that room was obviously a glitch (not some weird dream sequence like I thought for the first 20 seconds lol) and now my save is broken and unplayable.

Really sucks since the last manual save I have s like 2 seasons behind where I am at. Really bummed, I hope this can somehow be fixed and my save can be restored.

Edit: Okay I think I fixed it. I loaded my one and only 2 seasons back manual save, and then loaded the autosave that was glitched, and somehow that let me load the game without any issues. Maybe loading the glitched auto save from the main menu was making the game freak out for some reason? I am going to leave this here just in case someone else runs in to something similar. I thought my save was gone very glad it's not lol.

Edit 2: My save is not gone, but I am having a lot more random crashing and have to attempt to load multiple times before successfully loading. Game definitely has some issues that need to be worked out. Currently crashing on load everytime I start the game regardless of what file is being loaded. It loaded in one time and have had like 50 crash to desktop trying to load since.

Sent a dxdiag and a crash dump to the support email.

non-Xbox, XInput-supported controllers seem to be problematic with joystick detection. The tested controllers, Logitech F310 and 8Bitdo SFC30, are all detected as DirectInput controller rather than XInput.

Xbox One and Xbox 360 are detected as XInput controllers, so they are not affected by this issue.

The workaround is to copy the settings from Xbox controller and paste into those controller.

The fix would be, the engine needs to be updated to properly detect the XInput-supported controller before fallback into DirectInput.

Also displaying button as the number of those button seems to be too painful to play with.

PS. I think Logitech is known as Logicool in Japan. Not really sure if there's Logicool F310 available there or not though.

Synchronize camera option in Controls does not disable the feature but instead disable the DPAD in the game completely.

Settings do not save upon exit. I have to redo my resolution, fps, sound, language every time. It saved just one time when I alt+f4'd instead of exiting through the menu.

Windows 10 20H1 and above, adding the ability to quickly pair Bluetooth, when turned on by default, will attempt to automatically connect Bluetooth devices, causing the Device Manager to keep refreshing. Each time the Device Manager refreshes it will reset the controller in the game, causing the control to stutter. The solution is to disable the swift pairing feature in the Bluetooth Control Panel.

My game freezed many times randomly since the release. No crash report or whatever, I have to close the game via the taskbar.

1 - When I open the menu to check the stats/equipment/save/load.
2 - Leaving the main house and entering the rice field.
3 - During combat using the hagoromo.
4 - A visual glitch while exploring, I have to return to the main menu and reload the game (reloading the game while playing doesn't work).

Windows 10 / Nvidia 1060 GTX drivers last version both.
Verified game cache files.

people with dedicated GPU, make sure the game is not using the integrated one, it was using the integrated GPU by default for me
