Iai Slash working as intended?
Anyone else leveled this skill? Once it gets higher levels, one of the perks it gets is it can be multi-cast. The weird thing is that each multi-cast still consumes the same amount of energy as a regular cast. Is this intentional? In which case, I kind of feel like it's worthless. You're still consuming the same amount of energy. It just comes out slightly faster in succession.

What doesn't make any sense though is that if you only have enough energy for 1 cast and you use Iai Slash, it still lets you multi-cast with zero energy left.

Anyone else having their Iai Slash function like this?

Yeah, mine functions like that. It isn't at level cap though, maybe it gets a cost reduction down the line.

I thought the cost free multi slash was the main point, like the description goes on about having to master it. Feels like a straight upgrade to Frontal Smash.

The real upgrade of being able to use it multiple times is when you hold left or right on the second and third hit. Sakuna jumps forward before doing the next slash so it ends up hitting the enemies you just knocked away before. It's extremely powerful this way by creating crash combos easily.
Considering how strong fully upgraded iaido is, whether it's a bug or not, I think it's worth the extra sp cost. At rank 15, it has +50% crit chance and +100% slash effect. If you have crackdown from Nerinagi fork or kitsune mask+ so that crits are always advantage hits, iaido will crit for about 5-6x normal damage. Tested on a demon pig in training, I'd get 1k hits and 5k crits. Plus, the extra activations are only like a third the cost of the initial one.
Swallow slice has a similar upgrade and that also costs sp to do extra activations.

If we wanna talk about really buggy skills, try using tidal wave. That skill bugs out constantly, making the wave disappear prematurely or just not appear at all. It seems have to do with terrain being uneven which is a shame. It makes the skill totally unreliable since almost all ground in the game is uneven. It's the last skill I need to max and I'm not looking forward to it.

I see! I was also comparing it to Swallow Slice. I was under the impression Swallow Slice's subsequent activations were free, but I wasn't certain.
