Story Ending - Did I miss something?
Edit: SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD, BIG SPOILERS, DON'T CLICK UNLESS YOU WANT SPOILERS

Before the very end, Kokorowa and Sakuna are discussing the situation and come to the conclusion that one of the martial gods is supplying the demons with weapons and was the one goading Kokorowa into making the poison rice. But there is never any explanation to who it is? Unless Omizuchi somehow absorbed Takeribi's powers or something? Help?

Also, when do they talk about Takeribi and Toyohana disappearing because I missed that too.

Did you actually finish the game yet? If you haven't seen the volcano erupt then you still have a ways to go. Actual spoilers below:
Ishimaru, the guy that was knocked off the bridge in the opening, fell into the sea of clouds that divides the upper and lower realms. Time and space are weird in the sea of clouds and he ends up on the island well before the main cast gets there and establishes himself as leader of the demons by borrowing power from Omizuchi. He's the one with the rice plot (there is a cutscene of a rabbit demon giving Kokorowa the poisoned rice) and organizing the demons to make weapons.
Takeribi and Toyohana are victims of Omizuchi. Omizuchi didn't actually die in their first battle. When the two went to finish him off after learning of this, he was already too strong to be beaten by them, especially since they left the haguromo with Sakuna and were lacking the divine blade since it broke in the first fight.

I did actually finish the game. But they specifically say in the cutscene that Ishimaru didn't seem like the type that would be able to create sophisticated weapons like the cannons (this happens after Ishimaru is killed by the Ashigumo specters) and they suspected a god in the capital (which wouldn't be Ishimaru since not a god and not in the capital) because whoever influenced Kokorowa had to have known the relationship between her and Sakuna (and there's little chance Ishimaru would have that information)

As for her parents, I suspected as much - Toyohana returned first and Takeribi followed (based on finding the barrier before fighting Omizuchi), but I don't remember that being discussed outright by the characters before - was it a dinner conversation??

In the post credits scene for Kokorowa it mentions her having a run in with another mechanical goddess "but that's a story for another time" - sequel hook if you ask me (and i would be very happy to have a sequel)

Dunno then. It's not clear how long it was he got to the island before everyone else so maybe he had time to smarten up with the help of Omizuchi. As for knowing Sakuna and Kokorowa's relationship, it's clear he (or Omizuchi) can get demons into the capital so maybe he had some spies watching Sakuna. Could have also just stolen weapons from the capital.

I don't think it ever gets told when they actually did this, just that they left for some unknown reason and hadn't returned.

Wasn't that after the story of Sakuna? Although, I guess it could be a consequence of what happens in this game.

I don't actually have an spoilers. It's just really funny seeing a thread with entirely blacked out text and I just wanted to be a part.

The best part is that spoiler tag doesn't work for the thread preview so anyone could get spoiled despite OP's efforts

yes and that would be in the next game
the dev tease that in the ending
no the rice plot and the cannons are not by Ishimaru but another god in the capital
also the reason omizuchi has 3 heads is thanks to sakuna's parents' souls in him, being fire and earth. his original head is water
