How bad is the time pressure in this game?
I f#cking hate time limits.

Eh the game does revolve around the rice paddy's cycle. Rice doesn't wait for you just because you are out hunting, for example. But you can spend as many ingame years as you want while progressing and doing what it is you like doing.

You can just sit on your home watching rice grow for 100 years and the game don't punish you for it as far as I know.

Wait, so I can just put on a movie, powerlevel by farming rice for a few decades, then steamroll all the combat sequences?

would still need to skip a bunch of dialogue, initiate and 'skip' the planting/harvesting minigames, etc. Even though you will be sleeping 5~ days straight, you will still need to spend at least 50% of the time fiddling menus

Maybe? I don't know how big the drop in rice quality is. I got about 40-50 stats per rice harvest and beat the game easily.

In gameplay terms the main "time pressure" I felt wasn't the rice growing aspect, but rather the fact that every combat level you do has basically two different "soft" timers you need to finish the dungeon before, since the dungeon gets much harder if you don't finish before night time and the dungeon becomes much harder if you run out of fullness/your food buffs run out before you finish.
It makes it kind of annoying to do two or more levels in one day. But like those other guys said, there is no overall time pressure in terms of "you need to do X before Y years pass"

For me it's no pressure. If I don't beat something in the alloted time limits i.e. Night time or new day whatever I just do it the next day or when I'm stronger.

This game reminds me a lot of Rune Factory so I'm used to that play cycle where you just farm and gather resources till you think you're strong enough to try again.

I can get that, but the game is structured overall that you can't finish a dungeon in a single time.

So it kinda makes sense, and it's not in a bad way either.
Some games do that but in a horible way.
