Cannot control spaceship

I really want to play but whenever I get into the spaceship, if I move the mouse at all, in any direction, the camera spins wildly. It's impossible to control. Anyone else found a solution or explanation for this?

Figured it out, I was playing using parallels vm, and it was not set to "optimise for games" so it wouldn't let the VM have control over the mouse cursor.
