splinter cell hud bug?
so you know the black box/rectangle at the bottom which tells you the objective? every time i do a 'use' thing (like open a door or use a computer) it goes lower, until i have done so many 'use' things that it disappears? anyone else? its really annoying

I have the same error, but it's a little different for me. Every time I quicksave or go to the desktop, the box slides down a bit. After enough quicksaves the box starts to go up again..
It's so annoying and I don't know what to do. I already uninstalled the steam version and installed the CD and the DVD Collection version but this bug is always there. I watched a few walkthroughs but nobody seems to have that problem.

Please! If anybody knows how to fix it..

yeh this happened awhile ago when i was playing it, i dont believe there is a fix i think its just ♥♥♥♥ for modern pcs

I had this problem too... I guess it's a vsync problem (which is deactivated by default in in game options). I solved the problem by activating vsync through SplinterCell.Ini. Simply double click on SplinterCell.Ini to edit it with notepad and scroll down until you see [D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice]. Once you find FullScreenVideo make sure that is set to true, then add "UseVsync=True" below "FullScreenVideo=true", save the file, close it and the problem should be solved. Hope that helped you =)

ill have to give that a try, thx for the suggestion :) havent played SC in ages
